従来、電話網は同一の加入者番号が存在しない

うなプレフイツクスを付けて区域番号をダイヤル
しその後に加入者番号をダイヤルして接続する開
放番号方式の区域間通話(いわゆる市外通話)が
ある。加入者がダイヤル番号を交換機間で送授す
る選択数字情報は閉鎖番号方式で運用されている
区域内網と、開放番号方式で運用されている区域
間網とでは、その桁数および意味が異なつてくる
ことは当然である。従つて区域内網と区域間網は
物理的に明確な分離をしておく必要があり、相互
の接続はあつても相互の利用は考えれない。例え
ば区域内通話の呼を開放番号で運用されている区
域間網を利用して接続することは出来ないし、ま
た、区域内通話の呼を閉鎖番号で運用されている
区域内網を利用して接続することも出来ない。す
なわち第1図に示すように区域内網1内の通話
(点線A)は閉番号で運用され、区域間網2を通
る通話(点線B)は開番号で運用される。

か、行なわないかにより交換網の経済的な利用を
はかることができる。
