■If the instrument panel is made of resin, it can be significantly lightened. ■A high degree of freedom in design;■In steel plate press-formed products, the safety pad (protective buffer), which is attached as a separate piece to the front edge of the top, can be foam-molded integrally with the main body. Moreover, in recent years, instrument panels have become larger and more complex, and resin instrument panels are often adopted because they can provide a good design effect.

The normally used resin instrument panel is instrument panel 0 shown in Figure 1.
As shown in 1, a structure in which a resin foam (e.g., urethane foam, polystyrene foam) 02 is covered with a skin (e.g., semi-rigid or flexible vinyl chloride sheet) 03, leaving a part of it, is common. In addition to having a space 04 used for arranging articles, etc., an opening for installing instruments or a ventilation opening 06 for air conditioning is formed. and,
A reinforcing base material 07 made of hard resin or steel plate is integrally joined to the void formed in the resin foam, and this reinforcing base material 01 not only defines the void, but also It has a function of improving the rigidity of the instrument panel 01.

This wire harness is equipped with terminals, connectors, etc., and is fixed with a presser piece that is screwed onto the wall surface of the reinforcing base material 07. The reinforcing base material 07 contacts them and vibrates, generating noise. In addition, a large number of electrical equipment can be installed on the instrument panel.
1, the work of connecting the wire harness to the terminals and connectors was complicated, and this significantly hindered the efficiency of vehicle assembly work.

To deal with the inconvenience that occurs when wiring harnesses are installed in the empty space of the instrument panel, a structure in which a printed wiring board is attached to the back of the instrument panel body, or a structure in which the printed wiring board is attached to the resin that is the base material of the instrument panel, is available. One example is a structure (Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 108336/1983) in which the structure is embedded inside a foam cushioning material.

The purpose of this is to use resin foam as a base material and cover the surface with a skin, and to use the back side of the skin or the foam A printed wiring circuit is formed on the smooth surface of an insulating material member that is integrated with the resin foam during molding, and
A part of the printed wiring circuit, or its lead-out part, is made to face the hollow body made of a hard insulating material for fitting electrical equipment fitted into the recess, so that the electrical equipment for the second part of the printed wiring circuit, or its lead-out part is exposed. This is accomplished by allowing electrically conductive connections to the equipment.

Omitting the wire harness that was conventionally used as a wiring means for electrical equipment installed in the interior of a vehicle and using a printed wiring board is advantageous in terms of reducing the number of parts and making effective use of space. . However, the printed wiring board itself has a certain size,
If you want to further bring out the characteristics of a printed wiring circuit, which occupies almost zero space, you can omit the dedicated board and use the components that make up the conventional instrument panel using a wire harness as the printed wiring board. It is effective to do so.

In this way, in this example, a printed wiring circuit (conductive film 18) for electrical equipment is formed on the back surface of the skin 14 that is integrated with the resin foam 12 without using a separate printed wiring board. There is no need to attach a wire harness consisting of many parts along the back of the instrument panel, and the number of parts hanging from the instrument panel body can be reduced, space can be used more effectively, and the number of parts can be significantly reduced. , and the number of man-hours required for assembling the instrument panel 10 can be reduced. Then there are the connectors and fuse blocks that are required in wiring harnesses.

It is possible to completely eliminate contact vibration noise between components such as fusible links and diodes, or between them and other components. In addition, the hollow body 22 not only can always secure a space for storing the electrical equipment 28 and the terminal 20 within the flexible resin foam 12, but also allows the resin foam 12 to be This function prevents the terminal 20 from being embedded in the terminal 12.

The present invention provides a wire harness in which components such as terminals, connectors, fuse blocks for circuit protection, fusible links, resistors, diodes, etc. are assembled together, and vinyl tape, vinyl tubes, corrugated tubes, etc. are used as protective materials. Instead, we used a printed wiring circuit attached to the back of the skin or the smooth surface of the insulating stuffed material that is integrated with the resin foam during foam molding, resulting in a significant reduction in the number of parts and 2 assembly man-hours. Reductions may be planned. In addition, since the above-mentioned parts that should be integrally assembled into the wire harness are omitted, there is no contact vibration noise between parts or contact vibration noise between parts and other parts, which helps maintain quietness in the vehicle interior. can contribute.
