[Detailed Description of the Invention] The present invention relates to a method for multiple-printing wood grain patterns on the surface of a substrate such as plywood, and the present invention relates to a method for multiple printing wood grain patterns on the surface of a substrate such as plywood. The purpose is to make the pattern appear.

Conventionally, as this type of pattern printing means, for example, it is known to separately print various wood grain patterns on the surface of a substrate such as plywood by single or double printing or more.

However, with such conventional pattern printing methods, when multiple printing is performed, models with the same pattern are all used when producing multiple plates from model wood by photoengraving, etc., resulting in overlapping. Any misalignment in the wood pattern during lamination printing is easily noticeable, and not only does this adjustment require a high degree of technical skill, but the resulting printed pattern lacks a three-dimensional or realistic feel, and is inferior in quality. There was a problem.

As a result of various studies in view of the above-mentioned drawbacks of the conventional art, the inventor discovered that if the grain pattern of the wood plate surface used as a model is perfectly straight-grained, the surface pattern and the internal pattern can be the same in principle. In particular, the grain pattern formed by annual rings consisting of almost concentric grain layers is such that the position and size of the grains change sequentially on the surface and inside, and this creates a gradual pattern on the wood surface. If you cut the wood surface according to the cutting process, the grain pattern on the wood surface will change sequentially at each cutting stage, and the wood material is not completely opaque. This invention was proposed by paying attention to the fact that it appears on the surface out of alignment with the wood grain pattern, giving a three-dimensional effect.

That is, as shown in FIG.
For example, the plate-making surface 2 on which the grain pattern of the model wood 1 appears is first subjected to the first photoengraving process, and then the plate-making surface 2 is cut in stages to a thickness of about 1.0 mm.
The plate-making surfaces 21, 22, . . . for each cutting stage are sequentially photoengraved to obtain a plurality of plates (not shown). and,
As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, using each of the plates, printing a is superimposed on the surface of a substrate 10 such as plywood in the order of plate making using normal printing means such as offset printing, and as shown in FIG. 4. A plywood 11 having such a wood grain pattern printed thereon is obtained.

By the way, as in the above embodiment, the method of multiple printing each plate in the order of plate-making or in the reverse order of plate-making during printing is particularly effective when a transparent or semi-transparent coating layer is interposed between each printing layer. However, the printing order is not necessarily limited to this, and especially when a plurality of patterns are printed on the same substrate surface, there is almost no need to consider the printing order other than the color tone. Furthermore, the cutting area may not be the entire surface of the plate, but only a specific part that has a great design effect, but the parts where knots or ridges appear are made to coincide with each other.

Furthermore, it is not necessarily necessary to make all of the two or more plates used for multiple printing using plate-making surfaces of different models; it is possible to make at least two of the plurality of plates using plate-making surfaces of different models. , the effects of the present invention can be effectively obtained, and this method is also included in the present invention.

Therefore, according to the above-described wood grain pattern printing means, all or at least a part of each plate used for multiple printing can be printed so that the grain pattern of the wood changes sequentially from the surface to the adjacent interior. In addition, because the plate was made in stages to match the form of the actual pattern that would appear, the outline of the pattern printed on the board would shift each time it was overprinted, causing shadows to be cast on characters etc. on the so-called plan view. As shown in the image above, the wood grain pattern appears deep and three-dimensional, which can be expected to increase the sense of reality. Misalignment of the pattern is absorbed or becomes less noticeable, and printing becomes technically easier. Furthermore, if you create bone plates and tone plates to match the internal color tone or shading of the wood and print them in stages, the internal pattern of the wood will become transparent, giving you an even higher level of three-dimensionality or depth. It provides a realistic feel with excellent practicality, as well as aesthetic effects.
