Ladles for molten steel used in the steelmaking process etc. become damaged in various parts as the time of use increases, so they must be repaired. Particularly in ladles that carry out bottom gas injection, such as ladles for ladle vacuum degassing, ladle scouring furnaces, etc., the gas injection nozzle must be replaced with a new one every few uses. In addition, the refractories of the casting nozzle and slag line will also need to be repaired. These repair works would take a lot of time if you had to wait for the ladle to cool down, and you would have to prepare an extra ladle for that, and you would have to reheat it when you reuse it after repair. This is extremely disadvantageous in terms of thermoeconomics.

Therefore, unless it is unavoidable, repairs should be made while the ladle is hot, but since the inside of the ladle is at a high temperature of about 1400°C immediately after use, it is usually difficult to repair it from inside. Therefore, the gas blowing nozzle (generally made of porous brick) can be replaced from outside the ladle. However, in this case as well, work from outside alone is not enough. For example, to remove a porous plug brick, it is often necessary to push it out from the inside of a ladle with a long stick, and when a new porous brick is installed, filling the joints is done from the outside. In this operation, sufficient accuracy cannot be obtained, and this may lead to accidents such as leakage of metal from this part, shortened porous life, and even failure to stir the molten steel due to inability to blow gas. It would be desirable to have a worker inside the ladle and cooperate with those outside to carry out such work.
The temperature inside the ladle is over 1000 degrees Celsius, so you can't just go into it.

The present invention was devised in view of the above, and consists mainly of a truck that runs on rails and a repair work capsule attached to the front part of the truck so as to protrude forward from the truck by at least the same length as the depth of the ladle. The capsule is a ladle repair work vehicle characterized in that the entire capsule is water-cooled and has work openings provided at appropriate locations.

Next, the present invention will be explained based on embodiments shown in the drawings. Fig. 1 is a side sectional view of one embodiment of the ladle repair work vehicle of the present invention, and a view taken along the line B-B in Fig. 2;
FIG. 2 is a front view taken along the line A--A in FIG. 1.
In the figure, reference numeral 1 denotes a trolley, and in this example, it is a self-propelled type equipped with a drive motor 2, but a wire towed type in which the motor is placed on the ground or other drive types may also be adopted.

Reference numerals 3 and 3' denote masts for attaching the work capsule 7, and in this example, two H-beams are used, and cross beams 5 and 5' and struts 4 and 4' are added to strengthen the masts. Other suitable methods for attaching the work capsule include, for example, protruding two support beams forward from the truck and supporting the work capsule on the two support beams. A balance weight 6 is loaded on the rear end of the truck as required, and a deck 12' is attached for convenient access to and from the work capsule. Next, 7 is a repair work capsule, which has a cylindrical shape with a bottom and is large enough to be inserted into the inside of the ladle to be repaired, and its entire surface is water-cooled. In this example, the shape is cylindrical, but the shape may be a box or other shape. Although any type of water cooling system may be used, as in this embodiment, the entire wall is made of a double wall with a small gap, a partition is inserted into the gap to form a continuous water channel 10, and a water supply pipe 10 is connected to the continuous water channel 10.
1 may be placed. In addition, openings for work are provided at necessary locations on the wall surface of the work capsule 7. In this example, the porous nozzle 1 for blowing gas at the bottom of the ladle 13
Although the opening 9 for the replacement work of No. 4 and the opening 9' for repairing the molten steel outflow nozzle are provided, other openings 9 may be provided at necessary locations as necessary. It is desirable, but not essential, to provide a lid to the opening. The work capsule is inserted horizontally into the overturned ladle,
It is desirable to provide a work floor 12 so that it is convenient to work in this state. The work capsule constructed as described above is attached to the front part of the truck so as to protrude forward from the truck. Although any attachment method may be used, in this example, the masts 3, 3' and the bracket 8 provided around the entire mouth edge of the work capsule are connected by bolts. Furthermore, a water supply and drainage pipe 11' from the outside is connected to the water supply and drainage pipe 11. The ladle repair vehicle of this embodiment is constructed as described above.

Next, ladle repair work using the work vehicle of the present invention will be explained. First, the ladle to be repaired is laid down in a designated place. Next, the work vehicle is driven forward and the work capsule is inserted into the ladle. Next, a worker faces the working opening that has been opened at the same position in advance and performs the necessary repair work. In this way, detailed repair work can be carried out in the working capsule, which is protected by a water-cooled wall, without being exposed to high heat and in close proximity to the repair site.
