Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable operation of a load machine load machine using a small motor under necessary and sufficient condition, by a method wherein AC voltage to drive the motor is controlled so that rotational speed of the motor always becomes the maximum torque generating rotational speed. CONSTITUTION:AC voltage supply to a motor 1 is performed through a voltage regulator 3 from a power source 4. Output voltage of the voltage regulator 3 is controlled by a signal generated by a rotational speed detector 5. Then if the output voltage of the voltage regulator 3 is controlled so as to constantly maintain a rotational speed to generate maximum torque, a small motor may be used to operate a load 2.

In conventional induction motor operation, in order to ensure stability of operation, the relationship between motor rotation speed and generated torque is between the rotation speed that generates the maximum torque and the synchronous rotation speed at which the generated torque disappears. The rotation speed was set and it was running. Incidentally, related technologies of this type include, for example, Yamamoto: Introduction to Electrical Engineering, Chapter 1, pp. 15-16;

In the above conventional technology, the fact that the torque generated by the motor and the load torque match means that the motor is always operated at the rotational speed that maximizes the generated torque.In other words, the motor torque is always This means that the motor is being operated at a rotational speed with some margin, which means that the motor is larger than necessary.

The above purpose is to maintain the rotation speed at which the maximum generated torque is always obtained by focusing on the fact that the relationship between the rotation speed and generated torque of the induction motor is that the maximum torque exists at a constant rotation speed that is below the synchronous rotation speed. This is achieved by controlling the motor's AC voltage in this manner.

In other words, a motor rotation speed detector is installed on the motor or the load, and the rotation speed is compared with the maximum torque generation rotation speed known at the time of design and manufacturing of the motor to be used.If the rotation speed is lower than the maximum torque generation rotation speed, the AC The voltage regulator is controlled by the rotation speed detector so that the voltage is increased and lowered when the rotation speed is high. As a result, the motor is always operated at the maximum torque generating rotation speed relative to the load equipment, so that it can be operated with a small motor.

An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to FIGS. 1 to 3. In Fig. 1, 1 is an induction motor,
It is connected to a load 2, and has a rotation speed detector 5 on either the motor 1 or the load 2. AC voltage is supplied to the motor 1 from a power source 4 via a voltage regulator 3, and the output voltage of the voltage regulator 3 is controlled by a signal generated from a rotation speed detector 5. An example of the configuration of the voltage regulator 3 will be explained with reference to FIG. 31 is a primary power source, 32 is a secondary power source, and the winding 33 is provided with a plurality of taps 33a. The switching block 34 is opened and closed in accordance with the rotation speed signal 35 from the rotation speed detection circuit 5 so as to close the tap 33a that outputs the necessary voltage. This performs voltage adjustment. Specifically, switching block 3
This can be realized by using the pulse motor 34a as the drive source of No. 4 and using the rotation speed signal 35 as a pulse signal. Instead of this configuration, voltage adjustment is also possible by chopping control of the power supply waveform.

In the motor drive device configured as described above, the rotation speed signal from the rotation speed detector 5 is received as shown in FIG. 2, and the output voltage of the voltage regulator 3 is adjusted as shown in FIG. Always the maximum torque generation point of the motor: rotation speed N of A. If the voltage is controlled so as to hold , it becomes possible to operate the load 2 with a motor smaller than the motor conventionally used at point B. For example, in refrigeration equipment such as refrigerators and freezers that have a built-in hermetic refrigeration compressor, there is an advantage that the effective storage volume can be increased relative to the external dimensions of the refrigeration equipment by making the compressor smaller.

According to the present invention, a signal from a rotation speed detector that detects the rotation speed of the motor is input, and the voltage is used to control the AC voltage for driving the motor so that the rotation speed of the motor always reaches the maximum torque generating rotation speed. By providing the regulator, it is possible to operate the load equipment with a sufficiently small motor as required. This has the effect of reducing the prices of electrical products and motors that are restricted by external dimensions.
