On the other hand, the jack housing 2 of the jack 2
1 has an approximately rectangular external shape and an internal space 211
is communicated with the outside through a plug insertion/removal port 212 provided at one end. Further, an opening 213 is provided in the bottom wall to expose the engaging claw 115 of the plug housing 11. Therefore, when the plug 1 is inserted into the jack housing 11 from the insertion/removal port 212 side, the locking pawl 115 comes into sliding contact with the inner bottom surface of the jack housing 21 and gradually bends inward, but the plug 1 However, when the locking claw 115 reaches the predetermined position, the locking claw 115 closes the opening 2 due to its own elastic return force.

As shown in FIG. 2, the jack terminal 23 is inserted approximately along the inner surface of the upper wall of the jack housing 21 in the plug insertion direction (the direction opposite to the plug insertion/removal opening 212).
It is bent at an angle of 60 degrees, and the upper end forms an elongated bifurcated lead wire connection part 231. This connection part 2
The end of the central groove 31 widens into a V-shape, and the tip of the connecting portion 231 is sharpened. Therefore, the plug 1 is inserted into the housing 21 through the plug insertion/removal port 212.
As the plug terminals 13 are inserted into the inside, the contact surface 133 of each push-in terminal 13 comes into contact with the lower half of the jack terminal 23, and the plug 1 is inserted while firmly sliding the plug terminal 13 onto the jack terminal 23. It becomes like this.

Therefore, each terminal engagement groove 114 of the housing 11...
When the plug terminal 13 is firmly inserted from diagonally upward into the inside, since the flexible core thread 31 is located at the center of the individual cord 34, the protrusion 132 is inserted into the tip of the individual cord 34 as shown in FIG. 7C. The core thread 31 is then pushed into a strip-shaped conductor 32 formed by winding a strip-shaped copper foil or the like in a spiral manner. Each plug terminal 13 is locked to the housing 11 by biting the locking claw 134 into the inner surface of the terminal engaging groove 114. And the protrusion 1
32, as shown in FIG.
Since the protrusion 132 and the conductor 32 are pressed in an extremely compressed manner toward the crushed portion 23, a strong pressure contact force is generated between the protrusion protrusion 132 and the conductor 32, and the electrical connection between the two is ensured. In this case, individual code 3
4 is held in a diagonally upward bent state by the circular hole, the crushing portion formed by the abutting protrusion 118 and the crushing protrusion 123 functions as a stopper, and prevents the individual cord 34 from escaping. This will definitely prevent this. Furthermore, the connection cord 3 itself is reliably prevented from coming off by another crushing protrusion 122.

On the other hand, the four jack terminals 23 on the jack 2 side
is attached to the jack housing 21 with the lead wire connecting portion 231 protruding outward from the terminal outlet hole 214, as shown in FIG. Therefore, each end of the four lead wires 4 is inserted into the terminal cover 22 through the insertion hole 222 without removing the insulation coating 42, and then the terminal cover 22 is attached to the jack housing 21 as shown in FIG. When installed as shown in FIG. 3, each lead wire 4 is forcibly pushed into the central groove of the connection portion 231 while the insulation coating 42 is broken by the lead wire connection portion 231 of the jack terminal 23, and the internal conductor 41 are strongly pressed and clamped by the lead wire connecting portion 231, so that the four lead wires 4 can be electrically connected simultaneously and reliably.

The plug 1 and the jack 2 thus formed can be connected by simply inserting the plug 1 into the jack 2 through the insertion/removal opening 212. That is, the plug 1 is inserted into the jack 2 by inserting the locking claw 115 into the jack housing 2.
When the plug 1 reaches a predetermined position, the locking claw 115 drops into the opening 213 of the jack housing 21 and is locked on the edge of the opening 213, preventing the plug 1 from being pulled out. At this time, each plug terminal 13 slides strongly against each jack terminal 23, displacing the jack terminal 23 from the imaginary line position to the solid line position in Fig. 2, so that a strong pressure contact force is generated between both terminals 13, 23 due to the elastic restoring force of the jack terminal 23. Moreover, even if an oxide film has formed on the surface of these terminals, the oxide film is quickly removed by the sliding contact between both terminals 13, 23, and both terminals 13, 23 are firmly fixed in place.
23 always maintains a good electrical connection.

In addition, in the present invention, each lead wire connection portion is arranged in a staggered manner, so even if the lead wires are in close contact with each other, contact may occur between adjacent lead wire connection portions. A secure and reliable connection can be made without any problems. Furthermore, since the tip of the lead wire connection part is formed into a V-shaped bifurcated shape, the lead wire can be connected smoothly without resistance compared to, for example, a case where the contact surface with the lead wire is curved in a protruding or concave shape. The cover can be broken and installed in the central groove. In addition, the terminal cover and the jack housing are each provided with a guide locking portion consisting of a protrusion on one side and a recess on the other, so that the cover and the housing can be attached.
By mutually engaging the protrusion and the recess, it is possible to install the device while positioning it, and as a result, it is possible to perform the installation operation more accurately and circularly.

In addition to the above-mentioned various effects, the present invention also provides the following effects. In other words, in the plug terminal of the present invention, the arrangement pitch is determined in accordance with the arrangement interval of each individual cord of the flat connecting cord connected to it, and the interval is narrow because it is only about the outer diameter of the individual cord. . On the other hand, jack terminals have independent lead wires that are connected to each other separately, so if the arrangement spacing is narrow, it is difficult to connect the lead wires, and as mentioned earlier, it is easy to cause erroneous contact between the terminals. Therefore, a certain amount of distance is generally maintained. However, when the jack terminals are arranged at wider intervals, the jack terminals must be bent in the direction in which they are arranged in order to contact the plug terminals. Forcibly bending the terminal in the width direction of the terminal in this manner is extremely undesirable because the mechanical strength of the terminal may be reduced and, depending on the amount of bending, the terminal may break.

However, when the jack terminals are arranged in a staggered manner as in the present invention, it is possible to reliably prevent adjacent terminals from coming into contact with each other, so the horizontal spacing of the jack terminals can be reduced, which allows the terminals to be arranged at the same spacing as the plug terminals. There is no need to forcefully bend the terminal to fit the terminal, and the reliability of the terminal can be improved. This effect becomes more effective as the number of terminals increases.

In addition, by arranging the jack terminals in a staggered manner, as mentioned earlier, even if the distance between the terminals is reduced, erroneous contact will not occur, so the width of the plate at the lead wire connection part of each terminal can be reduced. As a result, the clamping force of the lead wire connection portion of each terminal can be increased and a more stable connection state can be obtained. Here, the clamping force of the lead wire connection part is:
Since it is proportional to the cube of the plate width of the connection portion, being able to set the plate width large as described above is extremely effective in increasing connection stability.
