(Industrial Application Field) The present invention relates to a novel pyrazole derivative, and more particularly to a novel N-arylpyrazole derivative represented by the general formula () below, and a herbicide containing the derivative. It is useful in the chemical industry and agriculture, especially in the field of pesticide manufacturing. (Prior Art) It has been known that certain pyrazole derivatives have physiological activity as agricultural chemicals. For example, in Japanese Patent Publication No. 40-19958, the following formula (In the formula, R 1 is a hydrogen atom or a phenyl group, R 2 is a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group, R 3 is a hydrogen atom,
nitro group or cyano group, R 4 represents a lower alkyl group, amino group or lower alkoxy group)
It has been described that the N-phenylpyrazole derivative represented by the following formula has herbicidal activity. Also Tokko Akira
Publication No. 42-14833 describes the following formula (wherein X is represented by Cl or H)
It has been described that -(nitrosubstituted phenyl)pyrazole derivatives or N-(chloro-nitrosubstituted phenyl)pyrazole derivatives have fungicidal activity. However, the specific N-phenylpyrazole derivatives having halogen atoms at the 2- and 4-positions and an oxy-derived group at the 5th-position of the phenyl nucleus of N-phenylpyrazole as seen in the present invention have not been known in the past. It has not been done. (Problems to be Solved by the Invention) Conventionally known pyrazole derivatives, that is, specific pyrazole compounds described in Japanese Patent Publications No. 19958-1995 and No. 42-14833, have extremely weak activity as herbicides. It's not practical. Therefore, the object of the present invention is to develop a new pyrazole derivative that is practical as a paddy field herbicide and an upland herbicide in place of these conventional pyrazole derivatives. (Means for solving the problem) In order to achieve the above object, the present inventors
A number of pyrazole derivatives were synthesized and their usefulness was intensively investigated. As a result, it was discovered that pyrazole derivatives represented by the general formula () below are new compounds that have not been described in literature, and that these compounds have high herbicidal activity that can be put to practical use. Therefore, the gist of the first invention is as follows:
The following general formula () (In the formula, R 1 represents a lower alkyl group, a lower alkenyl group, a lower alkynyl group, or a halogen atom, n represents an integer from 0 to 3, and R 2 represents a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group, a lower alkenyl group, a lower Alkynyl group, lower alkoxy lower alkyl group,
Lower alkylthio lower alkyl group, lower alkylcarbonyl lower alkyl group, lower alkoxycarbonyl lower alkyl group, lower alkylthiocarbonyl lower alkyl group, cyano lower alkyl group, lower alkylsulfonyl group, phenylsulfonyl group, halogen-substituted phenylsulfonyl group, or represents a lower alkyl-substituted phenylsulfonyl group,
X and Y represent the same or different halogen atoms). The gist of the second invention resides in a herbicide characterized by containing the pyrazole derivative of the above general formula () as an active ingredient. In the general formula () representing the compound of the present invention,
Examples of "lower alkyl groups" in lower alkyl groups, lower alkylthio lower alkyl groups, cyano lower alkyl groups, etc. are methyl, ethyl, propyl, isopropyl, butyl, isobutyl, secondary butyl, tertiary butyl, pentyl. , hexyl, isohexyl group, etc. Examples of lower alkenyl groups include vinyl, allyl, 1-propenyl, 2-methyl-2-propenyl, 1-methyl-2-propenyl, 2-butenyl, 3-butenyl, 2-pendenyl, and 2,4-hexadienyl groups. Examples include. In addition, lower alkynyl groups include ethynyl, 2-propynyl, 1-methyl-
2-propynyl, 2-butynyl, 1-methyl-2
-butynyl group, etc. Further, the halogen atom can be Cl, Br, F, or I. Therefore,
Each of the substituents of R 1 , n, R 2 , X, and Y in the general formula () may be any combination of the above-mentioned various groups. Next, typical examples of the compounds of the present invention represented by the general formula () are shown in Table 1.

次式[Table] The compound numbers in Table 1 are referred to in the examples below.
(Action of the Invention) The compound of the present invention represented by the general formula () has superior herbicidal activity compared to known similar compounds. That is, the compound of the present invention has a wide range of effects on paddy field weeds such as Japanese barnyard grass, Japanese grasshopper, Japanese grasshopper, firefly, azalea, and common grass, and these weeds can be completely weeded by applying 50 g or less per 10 ares. Can be done. Depending on the specific example of the compound of the present invention, complete weeding can be achieved by applying a dosage of 6.25 g or less per 10 ares. In addition, various upland weeds such as crabgrass, whiteweed, dogweed, and knotweed can be completely eradicated by applying less than 50g per 10 ares. Also, depending on the compound, 12.5
It is possible to completely kill weeds by applying a dosage of 1.5 g or less. Moreover, it does not cause any chemical damage to useful crops such as paddy rice, soybeans, beets, radish, wheat, and corn. Furthermore, it is not toxic to humans or fish. Therefore, it can be used safely. The compound of general formula () according to the first invention can be produced by any of the following four methods, namely method [A], method [B], method [C] or method [D]. It can be done. Method [A]: - In the general formula (), when R 1 is a group other than halogen and R 2 is a group other than a hydrogen atom, the compound (-A) of the present invention is represented by the following formula (-
A dicarbonyl compound of the following formula (), such as 3-methylpenta-2,4-dione or 4-ethylhepta-
It can be produced by reacting and cyclizing 3,5-dione. This condensation and cyclization reaction can usually be carried out in various organic solvents. As the solvent, hydrocarbons, ethers, alcohols, water, etc. are used.
Although the reaction proceeds at room temperature, it is preferable to heat the reaction up to the boiling point of the solvent used. After the reaction, the desired compound is obtained by distilling off the solvent from the reaction solution. The compound (-A) of the present invention can also be obtained by adding water and an organic solvent such as benzene, toluene, tetrahydrofuran, or chloroform to the reaction solution, extracting the desired product, and distilling off the solvent. can. Examples of production by method [A] are shown in Examples 1, 2, and 10. Method [B]: - R 2 in the general formula () according to the present invention
The compound of the present invention (-B) when is a hydrogen atom
can be produced by hydrolyzing the compound (-A) of the present invention, in which R 2 is a group other than a hydrogen atom and leaves a hydroxyl group when hydrolyzed. This hydrolysis reaction can be carried out by simply heating compound (-A) with water, but it is usually carried out in the presence of an equivalent or more amount of base. As the base, sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, sodium carbonate, sodium hydrogen carbonate, etc. can be used. The reaction may be carried out at room temperature or under heating. Furthermore, the reaction rate can be increased by adding alcohols or ethers such as dioxane to the aqueous solution and allowing the reaction to proceed in a homogeneous solution. After the reaction is completed, the reaction solution is made acidic with hydrochloric acid or sulfuric acid, etc., the desired product is extracted with an organic solvent such as benzene, toluene, tetrahydrofuran, chloroform, etc., and the solvent is distilled off to obtain compound (-B). Can be done. Examples of production by method [B] are shown in Examples 3 and 4. Method [C]: - The compound of the present invention (-C) in which R 2 is a group other than a hydrogen atom in the general formula (),
The corresponding compound of the present invention in which R 2 is a hydrogen atom (−
It can be produced by reacting B) with a halide compound of the following formula (), such as alkyl chloride, alkenyl chloride, alkylsulfonyl chloride, etc. This substitution reaction is carried out in an organic solvent in the presence of an acid binding agent. Examples of organic solvents include hydrocarbons such as benzene and toluene, ethers such as ethyl ether and tetrahydrofuran, esters such as methyl acetate and ethyl acetate, ketones such as acetone and methyl isobutyl ketone, acetonitrile, and propionitrile. Nitriles such as, amides such as dimethylformamide and dimethylacetamide, and dimethyl sulfoxide can be used. As the acid binder, inorganic bases such as sodium hydroxide, sodium amide and potassium carbonate, or organic bases such as triethylamine and pyridine can be used. Although the reaction proceeds at room temperature, it may be heated up to the boiling point of the solvent. After the reaction is complete, the desired product can be obtained by separating the salts of the acid binder and distilling off the solvent. The compound (IC) of the present invention can also be obtained by fractionating and distilling off the solvent.
Production examples using this method [C] are shown in Examples 5 to 9. Method [D]: - Compound of the present invention (-D) containing a halogen atom as R 1 in the general formula ()
Correspondingly, the halogen to be introduced is applied to the compound (-E) of the present invention which does not contain a halogen atom as R 1 or already contains a halogen atom different from the halogen atom to be introduced or a smaller number of halogen atoms as R 1 . It can be produced by reacting a halogenating agent having an atom (Z). However, R 1 , R 2 , X, and Y are the same as above,
l is 0, 1 or 2, Z is an introduced halogen atom, m is 3, 2 or 1, and (1+
m) is an integer from 1 to 3. This halogenation reaction can usually be carried out in an organic solvent, and examples of the solvent that can be used include halogenated hydrocarbons, amides, and water. As the halogenating agent, elemental halogens such as chlorine and bromine, sulfuryl halide, phosphorus halide, etc. can be used. The reaction temperature is appropriately selected within the range from room temperature to the boiling point of the solvent. After the reaction, the target product is often obtained by distilling off the solvent, but if necessary, water and an organic solvent are added to separate the target product, and the solvent is distilled off to obtain compound (-D). Examples of production by method [D] are shown in Examples 11 and 12. In addition, the formula (-A) used in the above method [A]
The substituted phenylhydrazine compound is a new compound, and when R 2 is a sulfonyl group or a substituted sulfonyl group, it can be prepared by the method [E] of the following reaction scheme starting from the substituted phenol of formula (). However, in the above reaction formula, R is a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group or aryl group, and the intermediate products (), (), and () are also new compounds. In method [E] according to the above reaction formula, by reacting a substituted phenol () with a sulfonyl halide of the formula RSO 2 Cl or Br,
Sulfonylation of the phenolic hydroxyl group yields a sulfonyloxy compound (). This sulfonylation reaction is preferably carried out using pyridine, which also serves as an acid binding agent, as a solvent. This is usually carried out by dropping the sulfonyl halide into a mixture of dihalofenol and pyridine under ice-water cooling, and stirring at room temperature after the dropwise addition. If the reaction takes a long time,
The reaction time can be shortened by heating up to the boiling point of pyridine. After the reaction is complete, the precipitated pyridine salt is separated and the pyridine is removed to obtain the sulfonyloxy compound (). Add water and an organic solvent such as benzene, toluene, tetrahydrofuran, or chloroform to obtain the desired compound (). The sulfonyloxy compound () can also be obtained by fractionating, washing with hydrochloric acid water to remove pyridine, and then distilling off the solvent. The obtained sulfonyloxy compound () is nitrated with nitric acid to obtain a nitro compound (). The nitration reaction is carried out under mixed acid conditions as usual, by dropping an equivalent amount of a mixture of concentrated nitric acid and 95% sulfuric acid into a mixture of 95% sulfuric acid and a sulfonyloxy compound under ice-water cooling, and stirring at room temperature after the dropwise addition. . After the reaction is completed, the reaction solution is diluted by adding it to ice, and an organic solvent such as benzene, toluene, tetrahydrofuran, or chloroform is added thereto to extract the target product, and the solvent is distilled off to obtain a nitro compound. The amino compound () is obtained by reducing the obtained nitro compound () with iron. The reduction reaction is usually carried out using water as a solvent, and a small amount of hydrochloric acid is added to accelerate the reaction, and the reaction time is reduced by 50~
It is preferable to carry out heating at 100°C. After the reaction, benzene, toluene, tetrahydrofuran,
A sulfonyloxyamino compound is obtained by extracting with an organic solvent such as chloroform and distilling off the solvent. Next, the amino compound () is diazotized and then reduced with stannous chloride and hydrochloric acid to obtain the hydrazino compound (-A). The above diazotization is carried out by adding the amino compound () to an aqueous hydrochloric acid solution and adding -20
This is carried out by dropping an equivalent amount of an aqueous sodium nitrite solution at around °C. The subsequent reduction is carried out by adding the obtained diazonium salt solution to an aqueous hydrochloric acid solution of stannous chloride under cooling with ice water and stirring at room temperature. After the reaction is completed, it is made weakly alkaline with an aqueous solution of caustic soda, and then benzene, toluene,
The desired hydrazino compound (-A') is obtained by extracting with a solvent such as tetrahydrofuran or chloroform and distilling off the solvent. A hydrazino compound (
A preparation example of -A') is shown in Reference Example 1 below. Furthermore, using the compound (-A') of the present invention in which R 2 is a sulfonyl group type produced by this method [E] as a raw material, using the above method [B] and/or method [C], Compounds of the present invention having other desired substituents as R 1 and R 2 can be produced. Further, the herbicide of the second invention can be prepared by adding the compound of the general formula () to emulsion, wettable powder, liquid, flowable (sol), powder, driftless (DL) powder, or granule. , fine granules, tablets, and other suitable forms. (Effects of the Invention) Test Examples 1-4 are shown to illustrate the herbicidal activity of the compound of the present invention represented by the general formula (). Test Example 1 Herbicidal effect on paddy field weeds and drug damage test on transplanted paddy rice. A 1/5000 Ahl Wagner pot was filled with paddy soil (alluvial soil), and 50 seeds of each of Japanese barnyard grass, firefly, Japanese azalea, and Japanese azalea were uniformly sown on the surface layer. One day after sowing, the soil was flooded and the water depth was maintained at 2 cm. Three days after sowing, two four-leaf stage seedlings of paddy rice were planted, and three plants were transplanted per pot. One day after transplanting paddy rice, dilute the emulsion prepared according to Example 21 with water and add 10 ml of treatment solution per pot.
(Equivalent to 50g per 10 ares of active ingredient applied)
The treatment was carried out by applying dropwise. The test was conducted in two consecutive sessions in one plot, and 30 days after the chemical treatment, the herbicidal effect and the degree of chemical damage to paddy rice were investigated based on the evaluation indicators shown below.
