The locking device 27 is configured to be slidable back and forth between a front locking position and a rearward unlocking position, and the locking tool 27 is pressed and biased to the front locking position by the spring means 33 to close the connection of the front lid 10. An engaging part 34 is provided on the inner surface of the piece 13, and when not in use, the locking tool 27, which is pressed and biased to the front lock position, contacts and interferes with the engaging part 34 of the front lid 10 in the closed position. The lid 10 is prevented from rotating upward, and when loaded into the magnetic recording device, the lock release member on the magnetic recording device side locks the lock tool 27.
