Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease erroneous dialings and the number of inquires of telephone numbers by providing a display read section reading a telephone number- displayed on a cardshaped telephone number display means and a control section sending the telephone number read by the display read section to a telephone line. CONSTITUTION:The operator inputs an abbreviation number of a talking party from a key entry section 7 of a card 8 to display the telephone number on the display section 6 of the card 8. The operator inserts the card 8 with the telephone number displayed thereupon to a display read section 1 of a telephone set 4. The display read section 1 reads the telephone number displayed on the display section 6 of the card 8 optically and converts it into telephone number data 9 represented by an electric signal. The telephone number data 9 is data of the telephone number expressed by the combination of numerals 0-9. The control section 2 sends the telephone number data 9 supplied from the display read section 1 to a telephone line 5. When the operator completes the talking and hooks on a handset 3 on the telephone set 4, the read display section 1 ejects the card 8.
