Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain the high speed relay communication by registering the telephone numbers of a relay instruction station and a relay destination station in a facsimile equipment having a relay function in advance so as to eliminate the need for instruction the telephone number of the relay destination station from the relay instruction station intensionally. CONSTITUTION:Detection circuits 12, 13 for a call signal decide whether an incoming call comes via a facsimile network or via a public network. In case of the call from the public network, normal reception is applied and the call is finished. In case of a call from the facsimile network, the telephone number is collated with the telephone number of the facsimile equipment 2 stored din a RAM 19.
