Abstract

PURPOSE:To effectively use the titled system in a new radio broadcasting service in the inside of a commuting train, etc., by compressing in a short time and broadcasting a program of a constant time unit by adopting a packet transmission technique, and expanding and reproducing it to an actual time, and listening at a reception side. CONSTITUTION:A listener listens a program guide by setting first a reception demodulation part 5 at the receiving state of a subbroadcasting wave f2, and the listener depresses a selection key when the listener listens the analog audio signal VA of a desired program. The reception demodulation part 5, after detecting an identification code a' following after the analog audio signal VA, and storing it in an internal memory, converts a reception frequency to a main broadcasting wave f1, and receives selectively the bit of program information AA of a fast data packet having a corresponding identification code (a), and writes it on a memory 6. A bit of read information is read out at the same readout speed as encoding speed at a transmission side, and is decoded at a decoder 7, and the bit of desired audio information of the desired program can be reproduced. In this way, the listener can listen the program continuously to a separated part without interrupting a listening program on the way, even when the listener gets off a train, or exchange the train, etc.

Radio broadcasting is widely used for television broadcasting, radio broadcasting, etc., and usually one program is broadcast using a broadcast wave, but multiplex broadcasting is also in practical use where two or more programs are broadcast using a broadcast wave. However, all of them use a real-time information transmission format that is received at the same time as the broadcast.

The wireless broadcasting system of the present invention encodes a plurality of programs consisting of audio information of a certain length, converts the speed, compresses them into high-speed data packets each having a different identification code, and time-division multiplexes them onto a single carrier wave. A main broadcast wave to be transmitted and an open broadcast wave to be transmitted sequentially as an audio information signal along with information on the corresponding identification code and a program guide indicating the title and outline of each program transmitted on the main broadcast wave. , the receiver receives and demodulates the open broadcast wave and listens to it.
When a desired specific program is selected from the program guide, the receiver selectively receives the high-speed data packet having a specific identification code corresponding to the selected specific program from the main broadcast wave and stores it in a memory; The information stored in the memory is read out at the encoding speed, decoded, and reproduced as audio information.

FIG. 1 is a signal configuration diagram showing the configuration of each broadcast wave modulation signal according to an embodiment of the present invention, where F is a main broadcast wave modulation signal and F2 is an open broadcast wave modulation signal. The main broadcast wave modulation signal Fl is obtained by encoding an audio broadcast program of a certain length (for example, 15 minutes) at a certain encoding speed (for example, 64 kb/s) and then converting it into a high-speed data code (for example, 10 Mb/s). Program information AA with speed conversion.

FIG. 2 is a block diagram of one embodiment of the apparatus used in the present invention. In FIG. 2, reference number 1 is the main broadcast wave f1
2 is a main transmitter that transmits 2, and 2 is a sub-transmitter that transmits 2 using open broadcast waves. The outputs of both transmitters are combined in a combiner 3, and then leaked coaxial cable 4 installed on the ceiling of the train, etc. and simultaneously sent into each vehicle. The receiving device that receives this includes a receiving demodulator 5 that receives and demodulates both the main broadcast wave f and the open broadcast wave f2, a main memory 6, a decoder 7, a control unit 8 that controls these, and an earphone. This is a portable receiver consisting of 9. The reception operation will be explained below with reference to FIG.

The receiver first listens to the program guide with the reception demodulator 5 open to receive the broadcast wave f2, and then listens to the analog audio signal of the desired program.
Press the selection key when you hear ^.9 When the selection key is pressed, the reception demodulator 5 detects the identification code a' following the analog audio signal VA, stores it in the internal memory, and then changes the reception frequency to the main broadcast wave f1. , the program information AA of the high-speed data packet having the corresponding identification code a is selectively received and read into the main memory 6. The read information is read out at the same reading speed as the encoding speed on the transmitting side, and decoded by the decoder 7 to reproduce the audio information of the desired program. Now, the encoding speed is set to 6.
4 kb/s and the data rate of high-speed data packets is 10 Mb/s, a 15-minute program will be read into the main memory 6 in about 6 seconds, and the main memory 6 will be 4 Mb/s.
It can be configured with 15 memory elements.

As explained above, once you listen to the program guide and select your desired program, it will be stored in the main memory in a short time, so even if you leave the vehicle after getting off or changing trains, you will not be able to interrupt the program you are currently listening to. You can listen continuously until the end without worrying.

In the embodiment shown in FIG. 1 described above, there is one opening broadcast wave, and the transmission times of the main broadcast wave and each program of the opening broadcast wave are related so that the program information can be read immediately after selection, and each program guide is All broadcast time lengths 1o are equal and high speed data packet lengths 1.
This is about twice the number of broadcast waves, and therefore there is free time between each high-speed data packet. However, the sub-broadcast waves are divided into two waves and are broadcast roughly according to the program content, eliminating the free time of the main broadcast wave. There is no problem in selecting it as follows. In addition, the broadcast time length of each program guide is not fixed but can be arbitrary, and there is no need to have a relationship with the transmission time of each high-speed data packet of the main broadcast wave. A long program is constructed by associating data packets, and the identification code of the subsequent high-speed data packet is stored at the end of the preceding high-speed data packet, so that the preceding program information stored in the main memory of the receiver can be played back. It is also possible to configure so that when the identification code near the end is read, the program information of the next high-speed data packet is read.

In addition, in the above embodiment, the sub broadcast wave is an analog audio signal.
Although we have explained that it is M-modulated, it is not an analog audio signal, but an audio information signal digitally encoded at 64 kb/s, and the receiver decodes this to obtain the audio output of the program guide. You may also do so. Furthermore, it was explained that an identification code is sent after the analog audio signal of the program guide on the sub-broadcast wave, and the receiver detects this identification code and automatically selects and receives the corresponding high-speed data packet. Instead of transmitting the code itself, a channel number or the like corresponding to the identification code may be transmitted by voice, and the recipient may press the selection button for the corresponding number.

As explained in detail above, according to the wireless broadcasting system of the present invention, it is possible to easily select a program using sub-broadcast waves, and the selected program of a fixed time unit is received and stored in a short time, and the program is transmitted at a low speed. Since the program can be read out and played back for listening, if it is used in a new radio broadcasting service such as on a commuter train, it has the effect of making it possible to listen to the program continuously without being interrupted by getting off and changing trains.
