Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable exact detection of filter clogging by detecting a decease in air quantity occurring in the clogging of the air filter by means of a magnetic sensor and emitting an alarm. CONSTITUTION:This filter clogging detector consists of an air quantity detecting part 2 which detects the quantity of the air passing the inside of a device 1 and an alarm control circuit part 3 which emits the alarm by receiving the signal from said air quantity detecting part. The detecting part 2 is provided with an impeller and is so devised that the number of revolutions can be detected by the magnetic sensor. The rotation signal below the specified value is, therefore, transmitted to the circuit part 3 when the air quantity in the device 1 is decreased by the generation of the clogging in the air filter. An alarm lamp 11 is lighted to warn the decrease in the circuit part 3 and, therefore, the clogging of the filter is detected more exactly than by the conventional method of detecting temp.

[Prior Art] Generally, an air filter is attached to an air intake port of an apparatus that uses an air cooling fan and is used in a dusty place to prevent dust from flowing into the apparatus. As dust accumulates in this filter, it becomes clogged over time. In this state, the cooling effect decreases and the temperature inside the device rises above the standard. Therefore, a device is required to detect this clogging condition.

[Problems to be solved] In the conventional filter clogging detector described above, a temperature sensor is installed inside the device, and the temperature sensor detects an increase in the internal temperature of the device due to clogging of the air filter. Because of the structure, the installed temperature sensor operates at absolute temperature, and the operating point is influenced by the temperature of the food environment in which the device is placed. As a result, there is a drawback that the temperature sensor cannot necessarily accurately detect the clogging state.

As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the air volume detection section 2 is housed in a case 4 and includes a rotating blade 6 centered around a rotating shaft section 5. As shown in FIGS. The case 4 has a ventilation hole 7 on its front surface, and the rotating shaft portion 5 is rotatably arranged at the center thereof. Rotating shaft part 5
has a cylindrical shape, and is equipped with a magnet 8 and a magnetic sensor 9 inside. The Mi magnet is attached to the inner peripheral surface of the rotating shaft 5 and rotates together with the rotating shaft 5. The magnetic sensor 9 is fixedly disposed inside the rotating shaft section 5, detects the rotation speed of the magnet 8, and transmits a rotation speed signal of the magnet 8 to the alarm control circuit section 3 via the wiring 10.

Cooling air that has passed through an air filter 13 in an air intake port 12 flows into and out of the device 1 by the action of a cooling fan 14 . Due to the air flow inside the device 1, the air volume detection unit 2
Wind pressure is applied to the rotating blade 6, which rotates and gives the magnet 8 a rotational speed corresponding to the amount of air through the rotating shaft portion 5. The rotation speed of the magnet 8 is detected by a magnetic sensor 9, and a rotation speed signal is transmitted to the alarm control circuit section 3.

If the air filter 13 is not clogged, the air volume inside the device 1 is large, so a rotation speed signal of a certain value or more is sent from the magnetic sensor 9 to the alarm control circuit 3, and the 7-alarm lamp 1
1 does not light up. When the air filter 13 becomes clogged, the air volume inside the device 1 decreases, the magnetic sensor 9 sends a rotation speed signal below a certain value to the alarm control circuit 3, and the alarm '118 circuit 3 The alarm lamp 11 lights up.
