The present invention has a coniferous decorative veneer 2 attached to a base material 1.
At least a part of the spring material portion 2a of the decorative veneer is ground by brushing or the like to form a recess 3 on the surface of the decorative veneer, and a colored resin containing resin monomer, prepolymer, etc. as a main component is applied to the entire surface of the decorative veneer. After applying the liquid 4, the colored resin liquid adhering to the summer wood portion 2b is scraped or wiped off, and a resin-impregnated sheet 5 that can be made transparent is layered over the entire surface of the decorative veneer and integrated by hot pressure molding. The gist of this paper is a method for manufacturing decorative veneer-covered decorative boards.

The material of the base material 1 used in the present invention is not particularly limited, and a wide range of materials such as plywood, fiberboard, particle board, etc. can be used, but it is one that can withstand the temperature and pressure during thermoforming. It is necessary. According to the practical results, the use of high or medium specific gravity fiberboard was desirable and good results could be obtained. When plywood is used as the base material, it is desirable to interpose a cushioning material such as paper or cloth between the decorative veneer and the plywood in order to prevent wrinkles from occurring in the decorative veneer.

In addition, the decorative veneer 2 to be used is preferably a tree species in which the spring wood part 2a and the summer wood part 2b can be clearly distinguished, and the density of the spring wood part is relatively small and the density of the summer wood part is large. Specifically, relatively low-grade softwood decorative veneers such as cedar, pine, and toga can be suitably used.

The decorative veneer 2 is bonded to the base material 2 by heat and pressure using a known adhesive mainly composed of thermosetting resin, as shown in FIG. 1, and then the surface of the decorative veneer is brushed with a rolled wire bran or the like. Then, as shown in FIG. 2, at least a portion of the soft spring material portion 2a is removed to form a recess 3. Since the summer wood part 2b is harder than the spring wood part 2a, it will remain as it is even after brushing.
If brushing is done too strongly, the summer wood portion 2b will be scratched, and the scratches will be colored in the next process, which is not aesthetically pleasing, so care should be taken. If necessary, you can buff and polish after brushing.

Next, as shown in FIG. 3, a colored resin liquid is applied to the entire surface of the decorative veneer, and by the time it dries, the colored resin liquid 4 adhering to the summer wood part 2b, which is a convex part, is scraped off or removed. Wipe it off to expose the summer wood portion 2b as shown in FIG. Summer wood part 2b that becomes a convex part
Since the material has a high density, it is hardly absorbed and most of the colored resin liquid 4 is removed. On the other hand, since the spring wood part 2a, which is a concave part, has a low material density and has a rough surface due to brushing, it absorbs the colored resin liquid well and is colored darkly, and even when wiped off, Almost never removed.
When scraping with a blade, a large amount of the colored resin liquid 4 remains in the recess 3, forming a thicker colored resin liquid layer 4a.

The resin liquid used as the colored resin liquid must be a resin that has good adhesion to the resin-impregnated sheet to be hot-press molded thereon, and must not foam due to the presence of the resin liquid. Specifically, resin liquids that are less volatile at room temperature and do not contain solvents, such as monomers or prepolymers such as diallyl phthalate, styrene, and polyester, or mixtures thereof, can be suitably used.

The resin-impregnated sheet 5 used for this purpose is a transparent sheet whose main component is various synthetic resins such as diallyl phthalate, polyester, epoxy, phenol, and melamine, but these sheets are required as a decorative board. performance and manufacturing workability,
It can be selected as appropriate depending on various conditions such as cost. When this decorative material is used as a flooring material, particularly good results can be obtained by using diallyl phthalate resin as the main component. Conditions for hot-press molding are appropriately set depending on the resin used. Furthermore, by adding a small amount of a coloring agent such as a dye or pigment having an appropriate color tone such as reddish brown to the resin, the color tone of the entire decorative board can be unified.

The resin used is impregnated into a fiber sheet such as α-cellulose paper, rayon paper, non-woven organic paper, glass fiber, non-woven fabric, etc. and dried to be used as a resin-impregnated sheet. Since this resin-impregnated sheet is to be coated onto a decorative veneer, it must become transparent when the resin is activated by hot-press molding. Therefore, materials that are transparent in the latter half of hot-press molding or whose fibers are visible to the naked eye and impair cosmetic properties cannot be used in the present invention.

In the decorative veneer, at least a portion of the spring material portion is ground by brushing or the like to form a recessed portion. Therefore, since the surface of the spring material, which originally has a low density and can absorb the colored resin liquid relatively easily, is roughened by brushing, the suction becomes even better and the colored resin liquid is colored in a deep color.
On the other hand, the summer wood part has a high density and absorbs a small amount of the colored resin liquid, and furthermore, the colored resin liquid adhering to the summer wood part is scraped off or wiped off, so that it is hardly colored. The product of the present invention is a resin-impregnated sheet that can be made transparent on the surface of the veneer in this state and is hot-press-molded, so the spring wood part of softwood veneer is originally light in color, which has a lower density, and the spring wood part, which has a higher density, has a lighter color. However, in the product of the present invention, as mentioned above, the spring wood part is colored darkly, but the summer wood part is hardly colored, so the color tone of the spring wood part and the summer wood part is reversed. I will do it. Therefore, even if it is a monotonous decorative veneer with no difference in color tone between the spring and summer wood parts, by appropriately adjusting the color tone and concentration of the colored resin liquid, it is possible to create a beautiful decorative board with a uniform color tone and contrast. Moreover, it is completely unrelated to the refractive index of the resin, and it is possible to create a high-quality, piney-like decorative surface while using a relatively low-grade softwood material.

In addition, unlike conventional products, there is no need for processes such as depressurization, pressurization, and dipping to impregnate the decorative veneer with resin, and inefficient processes such as wiping off excess resin adhering to the surface of the veneer. Since it uses a method that can be easily mechanized, such as applying and scraping or wiping off the resin liquid, it has the advantage of extremely high production efficiency and low cost production.

In addition, if the main component of the colored resin liquid is a resin monomer, prepolymer, etc. that has low volatility at room temperature and does not contain a solvent, it will not generate bubbles when hot-pressing the resin-impregnated sheet and will work as an adhesive. There are also advantages such as improved adhesion.
