発明が解決しようとする問題点
カラー液晶表示装置に使用されているカラーフィルター

いため、良質な膜ができにくい。この為、第3図、第4
図に示す従来の構成ではカラーフィルターに含まれる水
分やイオン成分が液晶中に出て、動作の不良及び寿命の

ラー液晶表示装置において、前記第2の基板上の透明導
電層及び前記第2の配向処理層の中間に透明絶縁層を形
成してあることを特徴とするカラー液晶表示装置でちる

発明の効果
上記の実施例のように透明絶縁層を介在させることによ
り基板5上の電極9または1oと透明導電層3とのショ
ートの発生確率が1/6に減少した。さらに液晶表示の
画像特性としてのコントラストが視感度で100以上に
