Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明はFR擦低減効果にすぐれた潤滑剤に関する。
〔従来の技術〕
一般に機械の摺動部分には流動性油脂、例えばオイルま
たはワックスが通常使用されている。これ等の流動性油
脂を使用する場合、通常の作動条件では良好な摺動効果
を示すが、高温時、あるいは高負荷がか\る場合、摺動
部分の油膜が切れ、しばしば焼き付きを発生したり、ま
たは機関の効率をいちじるしく低下させる等の問題があ
った。
近年、この種の問題を改良する目的で上記流動性油脂に
四フフ化エチレン樹脂(ポリテトラフルオロエチレン)
の微粉を分散させるとともに、粘度指数向上剤としてス
チレン系、オレフィン系、イソプレン系の樹脂を混入し
たものが開発されている。
しかしこの場合も摺動面に高負荷がか\る場合充分な潤
滑特性かえられず、また高温での使用、とくに240℃
以上では四フッ化エチレン樹脂の熱分解により、フッ素
系ガスが発生し、金属部分の腐食の原因、さらには人体
への悪影響、また内燃機関等に使用する場合には、大気
の汚染等の公害原因にもなっていた。
〔発明が解決しようとする問題点〕
本発明者は、このような問題を解決すべ(検討した結果
、高温時、あるいは高負荷時でも安定して作動するFR
1!!低減効果にすぐれた澗7f荊に関するものである
〔問題を解決するための手段〕
即ち、本発明は芳香族樹脂の微粉を流動性油脂中に分散
含有せしめたことを特徴とする潤滑剤に関する。
本発明で使用しうる芳香族樹脂とは、ポリカーボネート
、ポリアクリレート、ポリサルフォンやポリエーテルケ
トンォン等のポリアリルサルフォン、ポリエーテルケト
ンやポリエーテルエーテルケトンさらにポリエーテルイ
ミド等のポリアリルエーテル、ポリフェニルスルフィド
等のポリアリルスルフィドなどが例示できる。
上記芳香族樹脂は通常平均粒子径20μ以下、好ましく
は1μ以下のものを使用する0粒子径20μ以上では本
発明に示す高温、高負荷時で安定して作動する潤滑剤は
えられない、また流動性油脂に対し、芳香族樹脂の粉末
はo、oot〜5帽1%が使用できる。5oft1%以
上は、流動性油脂の粘度をいたずらにあげるのみでこれ
以上の量は無意味である。
流動性油脂は通常公知のオイルまたはワックス状のもの
、即ち現実に潤滑剤として使用されているものすべてが
利用できる。
流動性油脂に芳香族樹脂粉末は常温あるいは200℃迄
の温度で、かきまぜながら均一になるまで行う、撹拌に
要する時間は通常1分乃至60分間であり、均一に分散
したものは室温に放置しても安定であり、そのま−潤滑
剤として利用できる。
〔実施例〕
本発明による実施例を従来の技術と比較しつつ説明する
流動性油脂として100センチストークスの機械油(ベ
ースオイル)にポリエーテルエーテルケトン、平均粒子
径10μ以下のもの、1重量%を使用し、室温下で5分
間かきまぜ均一に分散した潤滑剤(本発明の実施例潤滑
剤(3)と略称)を得た。
比較のために、無添加の機械油(潤滑剤(1)と略称)
及び機械油に四フン化エチレン樹脂1重量%を使用し、
実施例で得られた方法と同じ様にして均一に分散した潤
滑剤(潤滑剤(2)と略称)を使用し、荷重に対するF
R擦係数特性、及び焼き付が発生する荷重を温度40℃
の条件で閤べた。
図面は縦軸に摩擦係数、横軸に荷重(WKg) 、及び
(■ハ)を示す。
図面中の(1)は無添加の潤滑剤、(2)は四フッ化エ
チレン樹脂を使用した潤滑剤、(3)は本発明によるポ
リエーテルエーテルケトンを使用した潤滑剤である。
無添加の潤滑剤(1)に比して、四フン化エチレン樹脂
及びポリエーテルエーテルケトンを使用したものは、い
ずれも同し荷重下での摩擦係数が低くなっている。また
焼き付きが発生する荷重については(1)は1/W−0
,036,30Kgで、同じく(2)は1/W”0.0
25.40Kg  でそれぞれ摩擦係数の急激な上昇点
を示し、この位置が焼き付き発生時点と解釈される。し
かるに(3)は1/W=0.02.50Kgの荷重下ま
で摩擦係数の上昇はみられず、非常に安定した特性を示
している。
これはポリエーテルエーテルケトンを使用した効果であ
ると准定される。 またポリエーテルエーテルケトンは
融点334℃と高く、またこの樹脂は、加熱しても育毒
ガス等の発生の心配もな(、内燃機関に用いても腐食の
問題、または公害の原因となる心配もない。
〔発明の効果〕
本発明により、従来の流動性油脂の摩擦係数を低下させ
る効果と、さらに高温時、あるいは高負荷がか\る場合
でも焼き付き等の発生がないため、内燃機関やデフモア
ー等のように高負荷、高回転の部位にも用いられ、工業
的価値は大きい。

  1. (1)芳香族樹脂の微粉を流動性油脂中に分散含有せし
    めたことを特徴とする潤滑剤。
  2. (2)前記芳香族樹脂がポリフェニレンスルフィド、ポ
    リカーボネート、ポリサルフォン、ポリエーテルイミド
    、ポリエーテルケトン、ポリエーテルエーテルケトン、
    ポリエーテルサルホン、ポリアクリレート、ポリアリル
    サルフォン、ポリアリルエーテル、ポリアリルスルフィ
    ドであることを特徴とする潤滑剤。
