Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a container having metallic feeling and having a printing layer strongly fixed thereto, by applying ultraviolet curable paint having a crosslinking structure to the surface of the container made of a synthetic resin to form a top coat layer and applying hot stamping or printing to said layer. CONSTITUTION:Ultraviolet curable paint having a crosslinking structure capable of forming layer to which hot stamping or printing is applied is applied to the surface of a molded container 1 made of a synthetic resin such as an AS resin, an ABS resin or polypropylene in a predetermined thickness to form a top paint layer. A polyfunctional monomer, a monofunctional monomer or a photopolymerizable prepolymer can be mixed with said paint. This layer is irradiated with ultraviolet rays and cured to form a top coat layer 2 and, thereafter, a predetermined character or pattern is applied to the surface of the top coat layer 2 by hot stamping or printing to form a pattern layer 3. As a result, the beautiful container made of the synthetic resin having metallic feeling and high strength is obtained.

<Problems to be solved by the invention> However, among the conventional methods described above, in the method of partially printing and then plating, when this plating and printing are combined, the ink changes color and There were other problems, such as it was difficult to achieve clear color tones, there were restrictions on the design of letters and pictures due to the combination with plating, and it was also difficult to express the metallic feel of two colors at the same time. In addition, in the thermal transfer foil processing method, the transfer foil is vapor-deposited, pearl printed, or printed with letters and designs in advance and transferred to the surface of the container, but because the strength of the surface is weak, a special coating treatment is required afterwards. However, there were problems such as high cost and high defective rate.

The surface of the synthetic resin container made of polypropylene resin, urea resin, phenol resin, melamine resin, etc. is top coated with an ultraviolet curable paint with a crosslinked structure that allows hot stamping and printing. Since hot stamping and printing are applied to the surface of the coating layer, either singly or in combination, it is possible to create a metallic feel on the surface of the synthetic resin container. The hot stamp or printed layer can be firmly fixed to the surface of the container to prevent it from falling off the surface of the container.

Furthermore, in the present invention, since an ultraviolet curable paint is used as the material for the top coat layer, after applying the top coat to the surface of the container, by irradiating the surface with ultraviolet rays, the paint gels by more than 90% immediately. After curing, hot stamping or printing can be performed on the surface of the top coat layer.

Further, predetermined letters or pictures were hot-stamped or printed directly on the top coat layer, or an aluminum vapor-deposited layer, a heat-dried intermediate coat layer, and a top coat layer were laminated in order on the anchor coat layer. By applying hot stamping or printing on the container, it is possible to produce a beautiful and strong synthetic resin container in the form of a metallic product according to the present invention.

Furthermore, there was no variation in the adhesion of hot stamps and prints over time, there was no effect from variations in ultraviolet irradiation, and the hot stamps and prints adhered extremely well even if the hardness decreased. It is thought that these effects are particularly achieved by mixing a certain amount of the thermoplastic resin (D) into the paint. In particular, according to experiments conducted by the present inventors, it has been found that a hot coat coating using acrylic, chlorinated polyolefin, salt-vinyl acetate, etc. as an adhesive layer is applied to the top surface of the top coat layer 4, which is composed of an ultraviolet curable paint with the above-mentioned composition. By using stamp foil and two-component curing inks such as urethane and epoxy, we were able to manufacture synthetic resin containers with good adhesion, extremely good surface hardness, and a metallic feel. Effects of the Invention> Since the container according to the present invention has the above-described structure and function, the ultraviolet curable paint layered on the surface of the container can be instantly cured by irradiation with ultraviolet rays, thereby improving workability. Furthermore, by mixing pearl paint etc. into this ultraviolet curable paint, it is possible to easily and reliably create a metallic feel. Since it can be firmly fixed, it is possible to prevent the pattern formed by hot stamping or printing from falling off when the container is used.
