In a color copying device, a color-separated optical image of a color document is charged on a photoreceptor, and is formed as an electrostatic latent image by color-separating exposure, and a colored toner image obtained by wet development is transferred. The photoreceptor is a flat surface. Alternatively, the surface is formed as a curved surface, and the developing device performs the developing process in close proximity to the portion of the photoreceptor to be developed.

In wet color development, a developer having a developer corresponding to each separation color contacts the photoconductor to develop the image, so the developer corresponding to the exposed separation color moves, for example, up and down, from a standby position to a position where it contacts the photoconductor, while the developers corresponding to the other separation colors wait in their standby positions. In such a developing device, when the development is completed and the developer is separated from the photoconductor and returns to the standby position, the developer adhering to the photoconductor moves together with the photoconductor while performing the developing action. However, since the developer is likely to adhere excessively, the excess developer becomes droplets and remains near the developing position of the photoconductor by the developer, which may soil the image that has been developed, or the developer that remains may be mixed with the developer to be developed next. In other words, the problem of multiple color developers remaining mixed and staying is caused.

Further, when the photoreceptor is transported in a flat state, the photoreceptor fluctuates, for example, up and down during movement, making it difficult to maintain a constant distance between the photoreceptor and the developing device.

In the case of a flat photoreceptor, if the developing device comes too close to the photoreceptor due to the movement of the photoreceptor, image deletion or blurring will occur, resulting in a blurred image. If they are too far apart, the image density will decrease and density unevenness will occur due to waving of the photoreceptor.

It is an object of the present invention to provide a developing device that eliminates the above-mentioned problems, prevents the mixing of developers of different colors, and maintains a constant distance between the developing device and the photoreceptor.

In the figure, an image of a document on a document fixing table 1 is exposed by an optical device 4 onto a photoreceptor 2 charged by a charging corona discharge means 3. At this time, the light image is separated by a color separation filter 5. For example, when separating into three colors of blue, green, and red, the light image passes through the filter 5 of any of the colors and forms an electrostatic latent image on the photoreceptor 2. The transfer sheet 20 is wound around and set in advance on a metal copy drum 21, and while it rotates, it is pre-charged by the pre-charging corona discharge means 15, and the same solution as the solvent of the developer is supplied from the pre-wet liquid storage tank 14. The prewetting liquid supplied by 3 is applied to the transfer sheet 20 by the prewetting roller 12, and in the prewet state, it comes into contact with the photoreceptor 2, and the toner image on the photoreceptor 2 is transferred onto the transfer sheet 20.
The photoreceptor 2 and the transfer sheet 20 are smoothly separated under the action of the post-transfer separation and static elimination corona discharge means 16, and the transferred toner image is fixed by the fixing means 17.

When developing the separated colors, a presser device 7, for example, a presser roller 7, is placed at a position facing the developing devices 6a, 6b, 6c for each separated color with the traveling photoreceptor 2 in between.

Usually, the presser rollers 7a, 7b, 7c are the developing device 6.
A, 6b, and 6c are located at a standby position, and a presser roller 7 corresponding to the separated exposed color moves toward the developing device 6 during development. For example, when developing the first color, the first presser roller 7a presses the photoreceptor 2,
The photoconductor 2 is brought close to the first developing device 6a, and when the second color is used, the second presser roller 7b moves the photoconductor 2 to the second developing device 6b, and when the third color is used, the third presser roller 7c moves the photoconductor 2 to the second developing device 6b. 2 is brought close to the third developing device 6c and developed.

Since the photoreceptor 2 is pressed from the back side by a presser roller and moved closer to the developing device, the photoreceptor can always be held close to the developing device at a predetermined distance without being affected by fluctuations in the photoreceptor. As is clear from the figure, the transfer sheet is placed so that the portion of the photoreceptor 2 at the approach position where it is pressed by the presser roller 7 is the lowest, and the other portions, especially the portions on the downstream side in the direction of movement of the photoreceptor, are higher. 20 and the traveling route of the photoreceptor to the transfer sheet 20 are set. Therefore, the developer on the photoreceptor flows lower, that is, toward the developing device currently performing development, and can be prevented from falling into other developing devices and causing color mixing. Furthermore, it has become possible to always maintain constant image quality without causing image deletion, image blurring, or image density unevenness.

The timing at which the air blower of the drying device starts working is when the photoreceptor 2 is pressed against the developing device by the presser roller 7a and tension is applied to the photoreceptor.

体の搬送がスムーズに行なえないからである。
This is because if the air is blown too quickly, the photoreceptor will be undulated and the photoreceptor cannot be transported smoothly.

Similarly, when developing the second color and the third color, the presser roller 7
The drying device starts working when the photoreceptors b and 7c push down the photoreceptor, and the blower stops immediately after the photoreceptor passes through the developing section. In this way, it is possible to drive the presser roller while always applying tension to the photoreceptor.
