Claims

【実用新案登録請求の範囲】感光体ドラムを含む感光体装置と現像ローラを
含む現像装置のうち、少なくとも一方を画像形成
装置本体に対して着脱自在なユニツトとして構成
し、そのユニツト化した感光体ユニツトまたは現
像ユニツトのうちのいずれか一方を他方に対して
進退可能に画像形成装置本体に支持し、感光体ド
ラムと現像ローラとを互に接触させて現像を行う
画像形成装置において、上記感光体ドラムと現像ローラとが離隔した第
１の位置から、上記感光体ドラムと現像ローラと
が接触した第２の位置に感光体ユニツトまたは現
像ユニツトのいずれか一方を他方に対して移動さ
せる移動手段と、感光体ユニツトまたは現像ユニ
ツトを上記第１の位置で保持する保持手段と、上
