おいて、ワーク取付軸穴を有するワークヘツドの
端面と前記ワークヘツドが載設された可動サドル
の一部に夫々基準面(R,R)を形成し、前
記基準面上に設定されると共にスケール目盛沿い
に摺動する測定子を有して被研削ワークの径と工
具長さとを計測する計測器と、前記計測器に設け
られて前記計測器の計測結果をパルス出力として
送出するパルス信号出力器とを設け、工具研削盤
が有する前記2つの基準面から定められたワーク
ヘツド作動部および砥石車作動部に関する既知寸
法成並びに該両作動部のワークヘツド軸線と砥石
軸線の両軸線間の既知寸法とを夫々記憶せしめる
ために数値制御装置内に具備された記憶手段と、
前記パルス信号出力器から送出される被研削ワー
クの径寸法出力および工具長出力と前記記憶手段
内に記憶せしめられた前記既知寸法とから該数値
制御装置によつて研削開始位置を演算決定し、前
記ワークヘツド作動部又は前記砥石車作動部を該
研削開始位置へ移動すべく指令するように構成し
た数値制御工具研削盤における研削位置の設定装
置。
