Traditionally, light bulb mounting sockets are generally used for low voltage applications, partly because the power supply electrodes are close to each other, and even when used for high voltage applications, there is a high peak at the start of discharge. It has the disadvantage that it cannot be used in high-pressure lamps to which voltage is applied, such as mercury lamps and halogen lamps.

On the inner bottom surface of the cup-shaped socket body 1 made of molded porcelain, a holder 2 is attached to the outside of the socket body 1 in order to removably attach the screw-type base that forms one electrode of the light bulb to the inner peripheral surface of the socket body 1. A light bulb is attached to one terminal 3 for external wiring on the bottom via a screw 4, a spring washer 5, and a screw 4 and a holding plate 6, and in a recess 8 forming a partition wall 7 on the inside bottom of the socket body 1. a center contact piece 9 that forms the other electrode of the bulb and contacts a clasp attached to the tip of the bulb base insulated from the base;
is attached together with the other terminal 10 for external wiring on the outer bottom surface of the socket body 1 via a screw 4 and a spring washer 5, and in this attached state, the contact portion of the center contact piece 9 with the clasp is attached to the socket body 1. A coil spring 13 is inserted into a depression 12 formed in the separation table 11 to assist the return force of the center contact piece 9.

The center contact piece 9 and the receiver 2 of the socket 14 formed in this way have sufficient dielectric strength on the inner bottom surface of the socket body 1 via the porcelain standoff 11, and Since sufficient dielectric strength is ensured on the circumferential surface by the porcelain partition wall 7, even if a high-pressure lamp is attached to the socket 14, dielectric breakdown will not occur between the center contact piece 9 and the holder 2. As a result of conducting a voltage test with a conventional socket with the same external shape and this embodiment socket 14, it was found that the conventional socket has a limit of 2500 to 3000V, whereas the conventional socket has a limit of 2500 to 3000V. The socket 14 of this embodiment is
It was able to withstand up to 8600-9000V.

The present invention comprises a porcelain-molded cup-shaped socket body 1 for attaching a light bulb, a receiver 2 attached to the circumferential surface of the socket body 1 so as to be detachable from the cap of one of the light bulbs, and to enable external wiring. a center contact piece 9 attached to the center of the inner bottom surface of the socket 1 so as to be able to be externally wired so as to be able to press against a stopper of the other electrode of the light bulb, which is formed at the tip of the base of the light bulb and insulated from the base; a separation base 11 formed to protrude inward from the inner bottom surface of the socket body 1 in order to position the abutting portion of the center contact piece 9 that contacts the clasp of the light bulb inward from the inner bottom surface of the socket body 1; and inwardly from the inner bottom surface of the socket body 1 at both sides of the portion of the center contact piece 9 located in the recess 8 of the inner bottom surface of the socket body 1, excluding the abutting portion that contacts the clasp of the light bulb. In the light bulb socket 14 formed with a protruding partition wall 7, the outer shape of the contact portion of the center contact piece 9 that contacts the clasp of the light bulb is formed to be smaller than the upper surface area of the separation stand 11; In addition, the insulating structure of the light bulb socket is such that the height of the partition wall 7 is higher than the abutment position of the center contact piece 9 on the isolation stand 11.

As a result, the present invention secures sufficient dielectric strength between the center contact piece 9 of both electrodes of the socket 14 and the holder 2 without particularly increasing the external shape of the socket 14, and increases the dielectric strength between the two electrodes. This has the effect of preventing dielectric breakdown when high voltage is applied.
