Conventionally, when hollow roofing materials are used for terraces, entrance eaves, or carports of houses, for example, as shown in FIG. The rainwater flowing on the hollow roofing material 1' is collected by a water collector and drained by the vertical gutter 4', or as shown in Fig. 6, the rainwater flowing on the hollow roofing material 1' is collected and drained by the vertical gutter 4'. The end opening may be closed with an end cap 6', and a parapet 8' integrally formed with a gutter 7' may be attached to the eaves to drain rainwater through a chain gutter 9'.

If construction is carried out without opening the hollow part 1'a of
Rainwater and dust are blown up by the wind into the hollow part 1'a.
As a result, dirt and dust enter the hollow part 1'
In the latter case, rainwater infiltrates into the hollow part 1'a of the hollow roofing material 5' due to capillary action from the connection between the end cap 6' and the hollow roofing material 5'. However, the water that collects inside is heated by the sun's heat and evaporates, causing condensation that impairs transparency and appearance, and causes high temperatures inside the hollow part.
This method had the drawbacks of deforming the hollow roofing material and impairing its durability.

The end cap 2 is made of synthetic resin such as hard vinyl chloride resin, and fits into the back side of the front plate 21, the top plate 22, a plurality of ribs 23, and the hollow portion 14 of the hollow roofing material 1. A plurality of convex portions 24...
and a bottom plate 25 are provided. A plurality of ribs 23... and a plurality of convex parts 24... are provided alternately in a portion on the top plate 22 side between the top plate 22 and the bottom plate 25, and the ribs 23 are shorter than the protrusions 24. and the lower surface plate 25, and the gap between the convex portion 24 and the lower surface of the upper surface plate 22 is the same as the thickness of the top plate 11 of the hollow roofing material 1. As shown in FIG. 3, when the convex part 24 is fitted into the hollow part 14 of the hollow roofing material 1 and its end surface is brought into contact with the rib 23, the top plate 11 of the hollow roofing material 1
There is no gap between the top surface and the bottom surface of the top plate 22 of the end cap 2, and a gap corresponding to the protruding length of the rib 23 is formed between the end surface of the hollow roofing material 1 and the back surface of the front plate 21 of the end cap 2. Rainwater flows down through the gap, and the rear end of the lower plate 25 is raised to form a gutter portion 27. Drain holes 26, 26 are provided at both ends of the bottom plate 25.

At the lower end of each hollow member 1..., an end cap 2... is attached to the hollow roofing material 1
The convex part 24 is fitted into the hollow part 14, and its end face is brought into contact with the rib 23, so that there is no gap between the upper surface of the top plate 11 of the hollow roofing material 1 and the lower surface of the upper plate 21 of the end cap 2, and the hollow part 24 is fitted into the hollow part 14. A gap is formed between the end surface of the roof material 1 and the back surface of the front plate 21 of the end cap 2 for rainwater to flow down. An eaves gutter member 3 made of a parapemet with an integrally formed eave gutter part is attached to the eave part where the end cap 2... is fitted to the hollow roof material 1..., and the hollow rafter sheaths 6, 6 and the hollow Rainwater is drained from the eaves gutter member 3 through the pillars 4, 4. In this case, the eave gutter member 3 is passed through the hollow rafter sheaths 6, 6 and the hollow columns 4, 4.
Draining rainwater from the roof eliminates the need for conventional water collectors and vertical gutters, making construction easier and reducing costs, as well as making the exterior look clean and beautiful. However, rainwater may be drained by connecting a water collector and a vertical gutter to the eave gutter member 3 as in the past. The eave gutter member may be a conventional eave gutter. Also, only one hollow roofing material 1 may be used.

In the roof of the present invention, a hollow roofing material is fixed in the longitudinal direction on a purlin material fixed on pillars, and an upper surface plate and a lower surface plate are installed in the hollow part of the lower end of the hollow roofing material on the back side of the front surface plate. A plurality of ribs arranged at intervals in the longitudinal direction and a convex portion that fits into the hollow part of the hollow roofing material are provided between the upper and lower surface plates, and the overall shape is compatible with the hollow roofing material. The rib is shorter than the protrusion and spaced apart from the bottom plate, the gap between the protrusion and the top plate is approximately the same as the thickness of the top plate, and the rib is spaced apart from the bottom plate. The rear end is raised to form a gutter, and the convex part of the end cap with a drainage hole provided in the bottom plate is fitted, and the upper surface of the top plate of the hollow roof material and the lower surface of the top plate of the end cap are connected. There is no gap between them, and a gap is formed between the end surface of the hollow roofing material and the back surface of the front plate of the end cap, and an eave gutter member is provided below the end cap, and the eave gutter member is a vertical gutter or a hollow pillar. Even if rainwater enters the hollow part of the hollow roofing material, it will not leak through the gap between the end face of the hollow roofing material and the back of the front plate of the end cap, the gutter part, and the drainage hole. The water drains quickly, and the water that collects in the hollow space does not evaporate due to solar heat and cause condensation, which deteriorates the transparency and appearance as in the case of conventional roofing materials. It is possible to prevent dust from adhering to the hollow part and keep the hollow roofing material beautiful for a long time.In addition, large amounts of rainwater flowing on the hollow roofing material can be drained directly from the top of the end cap into the eaves gutter components. In addition, since ribs are provided on the back side of the front plate of the end cap, the strength of the end cap itself is high, and the end cap covers the end of the hollow roofing material, preventing warping of the hollow part. It does not cause bending or bending.
