出するトルクセンサと、ステアリングを回動させ
るステアリングモータと、を有する電動式パワー
ステアリングのモータ駆動装置であつて、 右操舵導通保持用の第1のスイツチング素子、
右操舵高速スイツチング用の第2のスイツチング
素子を前記ステアリングモータに対して対称に接
続し、左操舵導通保持用の第3のスイツチング素
子、左操舵高速スイツチング用の第4のスイツチ
ング素子を前記ステアリングモータに対して対称
に接続して構成されたブリツジ回路と、 前記トルクセンサより得られる左右の操舵トル
クの検出に基づいて前記第1又は第3のスイツチ
ング素子を択一的に導通させる導通保持制御部と
、 前記トルクセンサからの出力に基づいてその出
力レベルに対応したパルス幅の信号を前記第2又
は第4のスイツチング素子に選択的に与える高速
スイツチング制御部と、 前記第1、第3のスイツチング素子と、前記第
2、第4のスイツチング素子とのいずれか一方に
択一的に並列接続され、前記並列接続されたスイ
ツチング素子と同時に駆動される第5、第6のス
イツチング素子、及び該第5、第6のスイツチン
グ素子に夫々直列に接続され並列接続されている

子を流れる電流を検出する電流検出用抵抗を有す
