For the synthesis of the carbamate derivative, the usual reaction that produces urethane from alcohol and isocyanate can be applied as is6.
For example, it can be obtained by reacting a corresponding isocyanate with a polysaccharide in an appropriate solvent using a Lewis base such as a tertiary amine or a Lewis acid such as a tin compound as a catalyst. Furthermore, incyanate can be easily synthesized by, for example, allowing phosgene to act on the amine group of the corresponding aniline derivative.

Using a chromatography method such as chromatography In order to apply the polysaccharide carbamate derivative of the present invention as a separation agent to a liquid chromatography method, it is necessary to fill a column as a powder, and the method for making it into a powder is by pulverization. It is preferable that the particles be in the form of beads, and it is more preferable for the particles to be porous in terms of separation performance, but this does not apply if problems arise in production or in obtaining pressure resistance.6 There are the following ways to obtain powdered books. First, a polysaccharide is converted to rubamate in a suitable solvent under homogeneous or non-uniform conditions, which is then reprecipitated to form a solid, which is then pulverized and classified. Alternatively, there is a method in which, for example, microcrystalline cellulose is pulverized and classified, and then carbamate-ized under non-uniform conditions. Carbamate formation under non-uniform conditions yields a separation agent with high pressure resistance, which is preferable for filling and use. These methods can be selected as appropriate depending on the intended use of the separation agent. In other words, depending on the chromatography conditions, the particle size can be selected appropriately depending on the required separation performance, pressure resistance, solvent resistance, etc. of the target compound. When used as a powder, the particle size depends on the size of the column used. Although it varies depending on the
It is μm. When performing liquid chromatography or thin layer chromatography, there are no particular restrictions on the developing solvent as long as it dissolves or reacts with the polysaccharide carbamate derivative. There are no particular restrictions, except for those that react with the insolubilization by crosslinking or insolubilization.

Since the separation agent made of the polysaccharide carbamate derivative obtained by the present invention can be easily and extremely inexpensively produced, the target compound can be easily separated in large quantities. Moreover, it has become economically viable.

When the racemic compound was optically resolved by filling it in a column of AN, good results were obtained as shown in Table 5. A 9:1 mixed solvent of hexane and 2-propanol was used as the solvent at a flow rate of 0.5 raJ/nin (25°C). ' 2 indicates the retention capacity of the second eluting enantiomer, α indicates the degree of resolution, and Rs indicates the separation coefficient.
