Alumite is not used as a one-to-one material that improves the strength and corrosion resistance of the base, and when it is necessary to maintain its non-magnetic properties even after high-temperature treatment. , Ni-P type is used as the F layer.

After polishing to a mirror surface using a mechanical method such as lapping, a thin 11Q (o, + ~ 0.3 u) (+3) of magnetite (Fe12.) is formed by sputtering, and this is heated in the air at around 300℃ for several hours. Thus, gamma ferrite (γ-FezO:1) (l:]) is formed. This gamma ferrite (13) is a recording medium suitable for magnetic recording, and has the characteristics of a high squareness ratio of the magnetic hysteresis curved surface.
A protective film (+7) with a thickness of 0.03 to 0.08 μm is formed on the F side.

There is no need for the kind of protection twA required in the case of . However, in the past, a protective film was formed as shown in t, and as a result, an empty space wX11 was created as much as the protective film was required.
There was a problem in that this protective film was a major hindrance when trying to clean the device.

問題点を(1していた。On the other hand, in the case of a Ni-P coating alloy used when it is necessary to maintain its non-magnetic properties even after high-temperature treatment, this alloy has a magnetic transition point below 300 ° C. At present, it becomes magnetized at a relatively low temperature of about 250°C. Therefore, this phenomenon becomes an even bigger problem in parts that are used in weak magnetic fields (1 Oe or more). In a device, if the F layer of the magnetic medium becomes magnetic, the magnetic flux will close between the magnetic medium and the F layer, reducing the effective magnetic flux appearing at the surface layer of the medium, resulting in a decrease in the S/N ratio. However, the manufacturing process involves high-temperature processing, so if the magnetic signal is the basis of the signal, or if the magnetic noise has a considerable negative effect on the entire device. In the case of conventional coating alloys, -h
During the high-temperature treatment, it becomes magnetized, resulting in a low effective magnetic flux or generation of magnetic noise, which causes a problem of deteriorating the performance of the device as a whole (1).

Therefore, even in a magnetic field, the effective amount of magnetic flux can be reduced or the generation of magnetic noise can be prevented.

FIG. 1 is a partial sectional view showing a magnetic recording medium according to this embodiment. The figure shows a plate-shaped medium, in which a non-magnetic hardened layer (2) is applied to a non-magnetic J and C plate (1) to protect it, and a magnetic medium layer (3) and a smooth layer (4) are applied in sequence. It is formed by laminating layers. At this time, the nonmagnetic hardened layer (2) formed on the surface of the nonmagnetic substrate (1) is the 1112 alloy according to the present invention. This nonmagnetic hardened layer (2') was formed by electroless plating. Through this electroless plating, a film consisting of four types of alloy compositions is formed, and these non-magnetic hardened layers (2)
FIG. 2 is a graph showing the magnetic properties during high-temperature treatment. As is clear from the figure, conventional Ni
It is clear that the -P alloy coating rapidly becomes magnetized at temperatures above 200°C. Also, Ni-C
Even in a u-P alloy, if the Ni composition is 70% or more, the degree of magnetization will be lower than that of the Ni-P alloy, but it will still have some magnetic flux as a magnetic recording medium! This is not sufficient as it may lead to low voltage or magnetic noise. However, when the Ni composition was 50wt% and 40w
It can be seen that when the temperature is lowered to L%, the degree of magnetization decreases even if the temperature treatment is increased from 200° C. to 450° C., and rather the non-magnetic state is effectively maintained.

If a Ni-Cu-P alloy film (12) is used as the base of the medium F, even if there is no protective film on the medium (13), it will be different from the case where the medium has a protective film when an alumite film base is used. It has been shown that equivalent performance can be obtained. Coreha, Ni-Cu-P
It is thought that this is because the alloy vl; This is believed to be because when the F ground becomes uniform and strong, even if the head is pressurized during C8S, the reverse magnetostriction phenomenon of the medium is less likely to occur, and demagnetization does not proceed.

Although the case where 3) is used for IA'F-recording has been described, it is presumed that this is also effective when the gamma ferrite medium (13) is used for perpendicular recording. That is, when barium or rhenium is added to the gamma ferrite medium (13),! l! The medium is suitable for direct recording, but in the case of vertical recording, the gap loss is greater than in the case of long length recording, which adversely affects the recording characteristics, so it is necessary to eliminate the need for a protective film on the medium. The higher the cost, the more this Ni-Cu-P alloy film (1
It is effective to use 2) for the medium F.

The fact that it is not necessary is an extremely attractive feature.

Due to the characteristics of the Ni-Cu-P alloy, which does not cause any electromagnetic conversion, it is possible to maintain the uniformity of the magnetic field even at high temperatures (~400°C), which has the effect of obtaining efficient electromagnetic conversion characteristics.

: It is constructed as a u-P alloy, and the alloy composition is 40 to 60wL% Ni, and the balance is Cu and P, so the alloy film does not become magnetized even when subjected to high-temperature treatments such as sputtering. , 64i field, it is possible to prevent the effective magnetic flux amount from being low F or the generation of magnetic noise. In addition, the alloy for the liquid distribution film can be used as the base for the gamma ferrite magnetic medium. In this case, a non-porous and uniformly strong F base can be obtained, eliminating the need for a protective film on the surface of the magnetic medium, reducing air gap loss outside the film thickness, and increasing recording density. There is an effect.
