【実用新案登録請求の範囲】定速走行中の磁気テープの幅方向に複数個の回
転磁気ヘツドを順次対接して走行させることによ
り、該磁気テープの幅方向に記録トラツクを順次
形成して画像信号を記録するように構成された磁
気記録再生装置において、前記記録トラツクの長さが前記複数個の回転磁
気ヘツドのうち隣接する２個の回転磁気ヘツドの
間隔より長く設定されるとともに、磁気テープ上
の隣接する２つの記録トラツクの各端部に、隣接
する前記２個の回転磁気ヘツドがそれぞれ同時に
対接するように構成され、かつ、前記複数個の回
転磁気ヘツドのうち１個の回転磁気ヘツドのみが
前記磁気テープ上を走査しているときに形成され
る磁気トラツクの領域に、前記映像信号のうち輝
度信号、該輝度信号と対応するＦＭ変調された音
声信号、及びコンパクトデイスク方式によるＥＦ
Ｍ変調された音声データをそれぞれ記録する第１
記録手段と、隣接する前記２個の回転磁気ヘツド
が前記磁気テープ上を同時に走査しているときに
形成される磁気トラツクの領域に、トラツキング
信号、及び前記輝度信号と対応する低域変換され
た色信号を時間軸圧縮してそれぞれ記録する第２
記録手段とを備えたことを特徴とする磁気記録再
