Abstract

PURPOSE:To minimize a facing area between two magnetic poles and to reduce magnetic coupling between two electrodes by attain such position relation that only the tip part of the magnetic poles of both transducers that a thin type magnetic head splits is confronted. CONSTITUTION:A reproduction transducer 1 obtained by laminating a gap layer 9 and a coil 11 is arranged between the magnetic poles 3 and 4 of a recording and reproducing split thin magnetic head through an interlayer insulating layer 13. A recording transducer 2 with the same structure as that of the transducer 1 is disposed, facing the transducer 1, through an insulating layer 17. A magnetic tip part between the transducers 1 and 2 records and reproduces the same track of a recording medium. The magnetic poles 3-6 are formed not so as to face with each other apart from their tip part (c) in the transducers 1 and 2 of the magnetic head. The area that the magnetic poles 3-6 in the transducers 1 and 2 face can be minimized, and the maximum level of an area 20 which results in the coupling noise of a reproduction waveform is made lower than the maximum value 19 of a main reproduction signal.

構造である。

再生用トランスデユーサと記す)1に絶縁N17を介し
て記録用巻線型薄膜磁気トランスデユーサ(以後記録用
トランスデユーサと記す)2を形成しである。この従来
の再生、記録用トランスデユーサ1.2の磁極3.4及
び5゜6の位置関係は、第4図に示すように形成されて
いる。この図は第3図を矢印A方向からみた平面図であ
る。即ち、両トランスデユーサ1.2の磁極3,4,5
.6は絶縁層17を介して重なり合うように構成されて
いる。

ンスデユーサ間の磁気的力・ノブリングが強くなり、再
生用トランスデユーサ1が作動している時の再生波形は
、第5図(b)に示すように、記録用トランスデユーサ
2の領域にまで伸びており、図で示す領域200波形が
カップリングノイズとなる。このノイズのレベルの最大
値は、主再生信号の最高値19の10〜20%程度にな
るため、再生波形のピークシフトを生じ高品質の記録/
再生を妨げるという問題があった。
