Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a combustion apparatus operated safely even if a switch is turned on by mistake by installing a key input circuit whereby the time required to operate after an ignition and extinction switch is pressed down is longer at ignition than at extinction. CONSTITUTION:A button 9 for ignition and extinction is pressed down. When it is pressed down for 0.2 second or more, a key input circuit 21 in a microcomputer 20 judges that a key input exists, but for less than 0.2 second the circuit judges that there is no key input. Therefore, even if the button 9 is touched for less than 0.2 second by mistake, the operation does not start. When the button 9 is pressed for 0.2 second or more to turn on a light touch switch 11, a motor cock 15 is set at an open position to open a solenoid valve 14 and start combustion. When the button 9 is pressed down during the combustion for 0.05 second or more, the combustion is stopped. Thus, as for the time for the ignition and extinction switch to operate, the switch is not operated if the button is pressed down for a longer time only at the ignition time and therefore, only when pressing down operation is applied surely on the button, the combustion is started and safety is secured.
