The present invention relates to a gate valve in which a valve body and a valve seal are made of ceramic material. [Prior Art] Valves used in conveying equipment for acids, alkalis, and other corrosive liquids, as well as slurry that tends to cause wear, have so far been made of various stainless steels, cemented carbide, and Teflon. Ball valves and gate valves, which are combinations of such devices, have been used. When transporting slurry, sludge tends to get stuck between the ball and the seat of a ball valve, and if the ball valve has a metal fitting surface, it is inevitable that galling will occur on the metal surface. In order to improve this problem, ball valves whose mating surfaces are made of ceramic have also been proposed. However, processing ceramics is much more difficult than metals, and there are limits to the accuracy of the spherical finishing of the pole and seat.
The loss will inevitably be 1~high. On the other hand, gate valves generally have tapered shutoff valves, and sludge tends to accumulate at the bottom of the valve, and if a large amount of sludge accumulates, there is a risk that the valve will no longer function. Particularly in the case of highly concentrated slurry, sludge may get caught in the tapered portion, making it impossible to completely shut off.

Therefore, in the field of transporting various liquids and slurries, including low-viscosity liquids to high-viscosity liquids, we have developed a product that can be used over a wide temperature range from low to high temperatures, has high reliability, excellent durability, and is low cost. There was a request to develop a valve that could be manufactured. An object of the present invention is to meet these demands and provide a gate valve that utilizes ceramic materials. [Means for solving the problem] To explain with reference to the drawings, the ceramic gate valve of the present invention has a ceramic gate valve having a fluid passage hole 21, as shown in FIG. Seal plates 2A and 2B are opposed to constitute a valve seal with parallel surfaces, and a ceramic gate plate 1 having parallel surfaces on both sides and having an opening 11 aligned with the fluid passage hole 21 can be slid between them. It is integrated with an actuator (not shown) for driving the gate plate 1 via the stem 3, and valve box members 4 and 5. Ceramic seal plates 2A and 2B are both flat plates with smooth surfaces, and are connected to fluid passage pipes 41 and 51.
The valve box members 4 and 5 are integrally formed with each other, and are fixed in a sealed state by a port 8 via a sealing material 6 such as a metal seal ring. This sealing material 6 is preferably an elastic grooved body that acts as a spring so that one or both of the sealing plates 2A and 2B are always pressed toward the gate plate 1. If not, it is provided separately. Use springs for The gate plate 1 basically has a planar shape shown in FIG. This is connected at its upper end via a stem 3 to an actuator (not shown per se), such as a hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder, mounted on the valve box members 4 and 5, and driven by the actuator, the gate plate 1 lifting and lowering,
That is, it opens and closes the valve. FIG. 1 shows that the gate plate 1 is in the raised position and that the opening 11 is in the fluid passage hole 2.
1, indicating that the valve is in the open state. Ceramic materials generally have the problem of being strong in compression but weak in tension. If the valve is large and a large tensile force is applied to the pin hole 12 for stem connection when the gate plate slides, and there is concern about its strength, the pin hole 12
It is recommended to use a gate plate 1 with a protective frame 7 made of metal provided around the outer periphery of the gate plate 1, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4. This protective frame 7 includes two frame plates 7A each having an L-shaped cross section. 7B are combined, a recess or annular groove is formed on the inner circumferential edge thereof, and the protrusion portion 12 provided on the outer periphery of the gate plate 1 is fitted into this, and the gate plate 1 is held by means such as screws 73. Fix it. Hole 7 provided at the upper end of the protective frame 7
By inserting a connecting pin into 4 and connecting it to the stem 3 of the actuator, it is possible to avoid applying tensile force to the ceramic gate plate 1. It goes without saying that the thickness t of the protective frame 7 should be thinner than the thickness T of the gate plate 1. Furthermore, the ceramic seal plates 2A and 2B may also be provided with a metal protective frame similar to the gate plate in order to increase their strength. The ceramics used for the seal plate and gate plate may be oxides such as alumina AfJ203, or other materials such as silicon carbide SiC or silicon nitride 513N4. As easily understood,
It is also possible to use a composite material in which the main bodies of the seal plate and gate plate are made of metal and the surfaces are coated with ceramics. [Function] The gate valve body, which is made up of two seal plates and a gate plate, is made up of ceramics that are in contact with each other, so the high sliding properties of the materials themselves allow for smooth opening and closing operations. . The sliding properties of ceramics vary depending on the roughness of the surface, and a moderately rough surface may exhibit high sliding properties, so it is necessary to select an appropriate degree of surface finish.
Since both the seal plate and the gate plate of the present invention are straight flat plates, they are extremely easy to process and the degree of finishing can be easily controlled. The gate plate, which slides straight between two opposing seal plates, prevents sludge from being trapped or deposited on the bottom of the valve due to the close action between the gate plate and the seal plates. The gate valve of the present invention is easy to manufacture and can be provided at low cost because the valve body and valve seal constituting the valve body are formed of straight ceramic plates. In addition, since it is not combined with fluororesin, etc., it is possible to take full advantage of the properties of ceramics such as heat resistance, corrosion resistance, and wear resistance. It can be used universally over a wide temperature range, including as slurry. The biggest benefit is the above-mentioned full-cutting effect brought about by the groove structure that moves the seal plate and gate plate in one straight motion, and there is no sludge entrapment or accumulation, resulting in a highly durable and reliable gate. The point is that we can provide valves.
