周方向全周にわたつて延びる溝を設けて外筒部と
内筒部を形成し、外筒部に軸方向にラツクガイド
の全長にわたつてスリツトを複数本設けて外筒部
を周方向に複数個に分割し、ラツクガイドの外周
に、ラツクバーあたり面の最底部に対応する軸方
向位置より頭部と反対側に隔たつた位置から頭部
端面までにわたつて頭部端面に向かつて縮径する
テーパを形成し、かつラツクガイド外周の前記テ
ーパより頭部と反対側の端部迄の外径をハウジン
グ内径よりも自由状態で大としたことを特徴とす
るラツクアンドピニオン式ステアリングギアボツ
