The compressible fiber layer 4 is integrated on both sides of the hook steel plate 3 by pressing and biting the compressible fiber sheet.

Therefore, the contact between the gasket, the cylinder head, and the exhaust manifold is surface contact, and the contact area becomes large, so it is necessary to increase the tightening force of the mounting bolts in order to obtain sufficient surface pressure.

As a result, the gasket is weakened, the torque is reduced, and gas leaks are likely to occur.

すことがある。(d) During high-load operation of an internal combustion engine, the temperature rise of the cylinder head can be suppressed to about 80-100°C by cooling water, but the exhaust manifold reaches a high temperature of 800-900°C, so the cylinder head and exhaust manifold are The cylinder row direction of the exhaust manifold (
(in the direction in which the cylinder parts of the exhaust manifold are lined up). However, as shown in Figure 6,
When the gasket 1 is sandwiched between the cylinder head 5 and the exhaust manifold 6 and the bolts are tightened, the edge portions 5a and 5 of the flanges of the cylinder head 5 and the exhaust manifold 6
a bites into the gasket 1, making it difficult for the gasket 1, cylinder head 5, and exhaust manifold 6 to move relative to each other. In this state, expansion and contraction in the cylinder row direction (in the six directions of arrows in the figure) due to temperature changes in the exhaust manifold 6 is suppressed, so excessive force acts on the exhaust manifold 6 and the mounting bolts 7, resulting in severe damage. If this happens, cracks in the exhaust manifold 6, breakage of the mounting bolts 7, etc. may occur.

スットを提供することを目的とする。The present invention was made in order to solve the above-mentioned conventional problems, and it is possible to perform a good seal even if the tightening force of the mounting bolt is reduced, there is less sagging, and the torque holding power is excellent. Stable sealing can be achieved even if the sealing gap expands due to thermal deformation. Moreover, it has high mechanical strength and will not cause problems such as gasket breakage due to thermal deformation of the exhaust manifold. An object of the present invention is to provide a gas fitting for an exhaust manifold that can absorb relative movement between the exhaust manifold and the exhaust manifold in the cylinder row direction and prevent excessive force from acting on the exhaust manifold or mounting bolts.

。The gasket for an exhaust manifold according to the present invention includes an intermediate metal plate, and two gasket materials stacked on both sides of the intermediate metal plate so as to be movable relative to each other in the cylinder row direction of the exhaust manifold within a certain range. , a gas passage hole provided in the intermediate metal plate and the two gasket materials, and a bead embossed around the gas passage hole of the gasket material, Each gasket material further includes a core material made of a metal plate, and a coating on both sides of this core material.
Compressible fibers with heat resistance have a compound layer containing a filler and an elastomer such as rubber, and a layer of material that reduces friction such as graphite coated on the surface of these compound layers. This is what happens.

Even if you make it smaller,
Good sealing can be achieved. Therefore, there is no need to increase the tightening force of the mounting bolts as in the past, and large tightening force limits thermal deformation of the exhaust manifold more than necessary, preventing problems such as cracks in the exhaust manifold. can.

Since the coefficient of friction between the gasket material and the gasket material is small, relative movement between the intermediate metal plate and the gasket material is easy in response to thermal deformation of the exhaust manifold in the direction of the cylinder row. It is possible to absorb relative movement in the cylinder row direction and prevent excessive force from acting on the exhaust manifold or mounting bolts.

0 to 23 are formed, the contact between the gasket and the cylinder head and exhaust manifold is a line contact, and the contact area is limited, so even if the tightening force of the mounting bolt is small, a good seal can be maintained. It can be carried out. Therefore, there is no need to increase the tightening force of the mounting bolts as in the past, and the large tightening force restricts thermal deformation of the exhaust manifold more than necessary, preventing problems such as cracks in the exhaust manifold. can.

are connected to each other so as to be movable relative to each other in the direction of the cylinder row of the exhaust manifold, and the gasket material 12.1
A graphite layer 15 is provided on the surface of the gasket material 12, the intermediate metal plate 11, and the gasket material 13.
Since the friction coefficient between them is small, relative movement between the intermediate metal plate 11 and the gasket material 12 and 13 is easy against thermal deformation of the exhaust manifold in the direction of the cylinder row, so the cylinder head and the exhaust manifold It is possible to absorb relative movement in the direction of the cylinder row and prevent excessive force from acting on the exhaust manifold or mounting bolts.
