Claims

【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 (1) 少なくとも一部外周が円弧状に形成された
潜像を形成し担持するための像担持体と、該像担
持体上の潜像を現像するべく該像担持体の前記円
弧状部に隣接して配置された現像器とを有した画
像形成装置において、前記現像器を前記像担持体
の円弧状部の曲率半径中心を通る水平位置より上
方に配置し、更に前記現像器内に設けた現像剤保
持部材上の現像剤層を規制する現像剤規制部材は
、該現像剤規制部材の像担持体に対する当接角度
θが、前記現像剤保持部材を像担持体に押圧する
押圧方向に対し、９０°≦θ＜１８０°となるよ
うに設けられたことを特徴とする画像形成装置。 (2) 像担持体は円形状とされ、且つ現像剤保持
部材は円筒状の現像スリーブである実用新案登録
