Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the performance and the reliability of a scroll fluid machine, by providing holes for the Oldham's key ways of a whirling scroll, communicating an inlet chamber to a back pressure chamber, conducting a lubricating oil to the above Oldham's key ways with a simple structure, and improving the lubrication of an Oldham's ring portion. CONSTITUTION:The Oldham's key ways 2a, 2b of a whirling scroll 2 are provided with holes 16, 17 which communicate a low pressure chamber 14 and a back pressure chamber 13 with each other. With this structure, a lubricating oil 11 which was stored in the lower portion of a sealed receptacle 10 is conducted to the back pressure chamber 13 after lubricating a whirl bearing 5 and a main bearing 6 by means of a pressure difference between a discharge pressure Pd and a middle pressure Pm. The lubricating oil in the back pressure chamber 13 is conducted to the lower pressure chamber 14 through the small holes 16, 17 which are provided for the Oldham's key ways 2a, 2b of the whirling scroll 2 so as to lubricate the laps of a fixed scroll 1 and the whirling scroll 2.
