Therefore, when a lead wire is soldered onto the electrode, an air layer is likely to be formed between the surface of the element body and the electrode due to the heat of the solder. Such an air layer prevents ohmic contact (electrical contact) between the element body and the electrode, but since the location and size of this air layer are undefined, the resistance characteristics of the positive temperature coefficient thermistor are affected. Becomes unstable. Further, if an air layer is present, the electrode is likely to peel off from the element body, resulting in poor structural reliability.

Therefore, it cannot be used when improving workability. In addition, when forming electrodes with wire mesh,
Since it is difficult to form wire mesh electrodes with high precision, it is difficult to obtain specified resistance characteristics. Furthermore, although the air layer is not formed in wire mesh electrodes, since the surface of the element body and the electrode are only partially in close contact with each other, the electrode is likely to peel off from the element body. Similar to method (2), this method has poor structural reliability.

is electrically connected to the conductive powder in the element body 1 by slightly biting into the interior of the element body 1 from the surface thereof. When the spraying of the electrode material 6 on one surface of the element body I is completed in this way, the element body 1 is turned over and the electrode material 6 is similarly sprayed on the other surface. In this way, the electrode material 6 is sprayed onto both sides of the element body 1 to form the electrodes 2.

Thereby, sufficient ohmic contact between the element body and the electrodes can be obtained. Furthermore, since there is no air layer, there is no fear that the electrodes will separate from the element body, improving structural reliability. Furthermore, since the electrodes are simply formed on the element body using a metal spraying device, the electrode formation process becomes easy and the processability is excellent.
