Generally, in a three-axis attitude control satellite, a reaction wheel consisting of a flywheel, a motor, and a rotational speed detector (tachometer) is mounted on the axis of the satellite's body. This reaction wheel transfers angular momentum to and from the satellite body, and absorbs changes in satellite angular momentum due to disturbance torque, thereby trying to maintain the satellite's angular momentum at zero at all times. That is, the reaction wheel uses a motor and a flywheel to generate a torque corresponding to a signal for correcting an attitude error, and uses this torque to correct the attitude error.

Redundant system coils 14 and 15 are connected in parallel to these main system coils 12 and 13, respectively, and these redundant system coils 14 and 15 and main system coils 12 and 13 are connected to a wheel drive circuit 16, respectively.
connected to. These wheel drive circuits 16 are connected to an address bus 17 and a data bus 18, respectively, and posture error correction signals and the like are exchanged via the address bus 17 and data bus 18. The wheel drive circuit 11 generates a drive signal in response to the attitude error correction signal, and this drive signal is supplied to the main system coils 12, 13 and redundant system coils 14, 15 to control the motor. Note that the dotted arrow indicates a power supply line.

This works effectively against disconnections of wires 2 and 13. However, failure of the wheel drive circuit 16 can result in a single point of failure, in which case other backup means, such as a gas jet thruster, will be required.

機器として不都合なものである。 With such a configuration, disconnection of the main system coils 12 and 13 of the motor and the main system wheel drive circuit 1 can be avoided.
A complete redundant system is constructed against 6 failures.
However, six wheel drive circuits are required for three reaction wheels 11, which increases the weight and size of the device, which is inconvenient as a satellite-mounted device.

This invention connects the redundant coils of the motors that make up the reaction wheel to a selection circuit, and selects the corresponding redundant coil in response to a failure in the main coil or the main wheel drive circuit. The number of redundant wheel drive circuits is reduced by connecting the redundant wheel drive circuits to the redundant wheel drive circuits.

イール駆動回路21によつて駆動される。 In the above configuration, if the main system coils 12, 13 or the wheel drive circuit 16 fails, this failure is detected using, for example, a change in the output signal of a tachometer (not shown). When this failure is detected, a command signal is output from the ground base or inside the satellite body, and the selection circuit 31 is operated by this command signal. That is, one of the switches 32 to 37 corresponding to the failed reaction wheel 11 is closed by the command signal C, and one of the redundant coils 14 and 15 is driven by the redundant wheel drive circuit 21. .
