Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔発明の利用分野〕 本発明は、液晶バックライト用導光板に関する。
〔発明の背景〕
従来の装置は、特開昭52−311398号に記載のよ
うに、導光板底面を鋸状に加工したものなどとなってい
た。しかし導光板上面輝度はどうしても光源側が高く輝
度均−面とはならず、また形状的に複雑で生産性の点に
ついては配慮されていなかった。
〔発明の目的〕
本発明は、導光板−に面の輝度ムラを均一なものとし、
さらに簡単な一体加工とすることで生産性を高めること
を目的としてなされたものである。
〔発明の概要〕
本発明は導光板により、蛍光ランプの光を導す16板−
L面に放射させる際、底面を階段状に加工し5導光板−
に面から見て、いく本もの光のスジを等間隔に導光板底
面に導くことで、導光板1−血の輝度を均一化出来ると
の考えに基づいてなされたものである。
〔発明の実施例〕
以下、本発明の一実施例を第1図、第2図により説明す
る。平面光源システムの構成は第1図の平面図、第2図
の側面図で表わされるように導光板3.光源(蛍光ラン
プ)12反射板2.拡散板4から成り、導光板3は第2
図のごとく階段状に等間隔に仕切られ水平面との角度0
は約45°である階段面で、アルミ箭のような全反射物
5が取付けられている。また導光板3はアクリル等の屈
折率1.5程度のものが使用されてお1J、アクリル内
へ放射された光6は、階段面以外では全て全反射されア
クリル板の外へは出ない。このため、導光板II−面部
からこの状態を見ると第1図の階段面だけが全反射物5
に反射されて光り、等間隔の線光源が導光板31〕面か
ら見えることになる。
これら線光源から出た光6を拡散板4により拡散し均一
な面光源を得る。また構造は導光板:(、全反射物5.
拡散板4.光源19反射板2の一体もの4ケで構成され
ており、生産性の高いものとなる。
〔発明の効果〕
本発明によれば、輝度ムラの無い均一な面光源で、生産
性の高い液晶バックライト用導光板を得られるという効
果がある。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 階段状に加工された導光板底面と、無方向性粗面化処理
    を施された導光板上面と、導光板側方に取付けられた導
    源とからなることを特徴とする導光板。
