【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 搬送されてきた用紙を収容する複数個のビンと
、指定された用紙サイズに応じて一体的に移動し
、前記複数個のビンに搬入された用紙の先端側を
各ビンの同一位置で規制する用紙規制部材とを有
するソータにおいて、 前記複数個のビンに用紙が収容されているか否
かを検出する検出手段と、 前記用紙規制部材の移動時に前記検出手段の検
出出力により前記複数個のビンのいずれにも用紙
が収容されていないことを検出した場合、および
前記検出手段の検出出力により前記複数個のビン
のいずれかに用紙が収容されていることを検出し
た場合であつてかつ今回指定された用紙が現時点
で既に収容されている用紙のサイズより大きい場
合に、用紙規制部材を指定された用紙サイズに応
じて移動制御するとともに、前記検出手段の検出
出力により複数個のビンのいずれかに用紙が収容
されていることを検出した場合であつてかつ今回
指定された用紙のサイズが現時点で既に収容され
ている用紙サイズ以下の場合には前記用紙規制部
材の停止状態を維持すべく制御する制御手段とを
