(B) Prior Art A banknote processing device generally used in a vending machine or a currency exchange machine is configured to push and store inserted banknotes into a box using a reciprocating stack member. Such a storage device requires a relatively large space because the stack member moves back and forth with respect to the banknote surface (Japanese Patent Publication No. 17227/1983,
Special Publication No. 55-37463). In a device that processes multiple types of banknotes, it is necessary to store banknotes by type because change may be paid out in low-denomination banknotes after the sale of high-value banknotes.

Detection head 21
The detection power of is introduced into an identification circuit (not shown),
The suitability and type of the transported banknotes are identified. Acceptance department 2
At the rear of the guide roller 16 and roller 20,
A guide piece 23 is provided which is swingable about the shaft 22, and a guide belt 24 is provided opposite the guide piece 23. The guide piece 23 is biased by a relatively weak spring 25 in a direction such that its swinging end is separated from the guide belt 24 . Further, the guide belt 24 is connected to a pair of pulleys 2 attached to a rotation shaft 27 and a support shaft 28, respectively, which are linked to a deceleration motor 26.
It is strung up at 9.30. Furthermore, pulleys 68 and 80 are fixedly attached to the rotating shaft 27, and an arm 34 that is rotatable about the shaft 27 is attached. A belt 33 continuous to the guide belt 22 is stretched between the pulley 68 and the pulley 32 provided on the support shaft 31 to form the conveying device 6.
A pulley 81 and a roller 9 are pivotally supported at the end of the arm 34 that is biased by the spring 35, and a belt 82 is stretched around the pulleys 80, 81.
As a result, the roller 9 rotates. The other end of the arm 34 is connected to an operating rod of a solenoid 36 fixed to the housing 10. A holding box 8 for storing low-denomination banknotes is provided with a guide wall 3 between them and facing the belt 33, and an upper wall 36 and a lower wall 37 provide a space for storing banknotes in a state in which they are alternately shifted one by one in the longitudinal direction. The banknotes are held by a spring 38.
The guide wall 3 is pressed and held by the partition plate 39 which is biased by the partition plate 39 . As shown in FIG. 3, the guide wall 3 has an opening 4 in the center thereof approximately equivalent to one banknote, and a notch 4 formed in the side edge.
0 is provided with a roller 41 for reducing the sliding friction of passing banknotes. The stack plate 42 is
It is provided with a guide portion 44 that slides on a guide pin 43 fixed to the casing 10, and is normally held in a state in which it is moved away from the opening 4 by being biased by a spring 45. The cams 47A and 47B that press the stack plate 42 against the spring 45 are connected to a rotation shaft 85 connected to a deceleration motor 46 and a support shaft 86.
A belt 89 is attached to a pair of pulleys 87 and 88 attached to these shafts 85 and 86.
is strung up. Due to the rotation of the cams 47A and 47B, the stack plate 42 moves in the direction of the opening 4, and the banknotes held between the belt 33 and the guide wall 3 are pushed through the opening 4 into the holding box 8. There is. A pair of upper and lower claw members 48, 49 that hold stored banknotes in the holding warehouse 8 are supported by rotating shafts 52, 53 mounted on side plates 50, 51.
As shown in FIG. 4, the respective claw members 48 and 49 are set so that their rotational angles are shifted from each other by 180 degrees. The rotating shaft 53 is directly connected to a deceleration motor 54, and a timing belt 57 is stretched around pulleys 55 and 56 attached to the rotating shafts 52 and 53, respectively.
8 and 49 perform periodic rotation with a 180° shift. The positions at which the claw members 48 and 49 rotate and come to rest are two positions: one in which they extend toward the inside of the holding warehouse 8, and one in which they extend toward the outside of the holding warehouse 8, as shown in FIGS. 4, 5, and 6. There are three states: a state in which it extends toward the opening 4, and a state in which it extends toward the opening 4.
Therefore, in order to detect the movement position of the claw members 48, 49 due to the rotation of the rotation shafts 52, 53, a cam (not shown) is attached to the rotation shaft 52, and the rotation position of the shaft 52 is detected by a switch. configured to detect it. The locking member 58 is rotatably supported by a shaft 60.
However, it is normally urged in the direction of the claw member 48 by a torsion spring 61. and locking member 5

The operation of the above configuration will be explained. First, insertion port 1
When a banknote is inserted into the receiving section 2, the banknote is taken into the receiving section 2 by the conveying operation of the belt 17 caused by the rotation of the drawing rollers 11 and 12. The detection head 21 generates a detection force corresponding to the passing banknote, and the above-mentioned identification circuit determines the suitability and type of the banknote. When the identification circuit determines that the conveyed banknote is inappropriate, the deceleration motor 13 is reversed, the belt 17 is driven in the opposite direction, and the banknote is passed through the insertion slot 1 and returned to the outside of the machine. On the other hand, if it is appropriate,
When the tip of the bill reaches the sensor 69 consisting of a set of LEDs and a phototransistor, the deceleration motor 26 is activated, and the bill is transferred to the belt 33 and the guide wall 3.
The banknotes are taken into a banknote receiving path 5 formed between one side of the banknotes. However, if the banknote is a high-value banknote, the belt 33 continues to drive, so that the banknote is conveyed in the receiving direction and then introduced into the storage 7 by the delivery rollers 70 and 71. The deceleration motor 26 then stops a predetermined time after the trailing end of the banknote passes through a sensor 72 consisting of a set of LEDs and a phototransistor.

When the banknote is a low-denomination banknote, when the banknote passes through a sensor 99 consisting of a set of LEDs and a phototransistor, the driving of the belt 33 is stopped and the banknote taken into the banknote receiving path 5 is guided to the holding warehouse 8. However, there are two timings for stopping this conveyance. That is, the holding box 8 holds adjacent banknotes in a state in which they are alternately shifted in the longitudinal direction, and as shown in FIG. When the rear end of the low-denomination banknote taken in by the belt 33 passes the sensor 99, the deceleration motor 26 is immediately stopped, and the claw member 48 and the locking member 58 are used to secure the stored banknote. When the upper end of the banknote is being held, the deceleration motor 26 is stopped after a slight delay after the rear end of the banknote taken in by the belt 33 passes the sensor 99. Assuming that a low denomination banknote is taken in by the belt 33 while the banknotes in the holding warehouse 8 are being held by the claw member 48 and the locking member 58, the banknote 73 has finished passing through the sensor 99. Since the motor 26 stops after a delay time from
It is taken in to a position approaching 7. Then, the deceleration motor 54 is driven to rotate the rotating shafts 52 and 53 counterclockwise by 90 degrees, and the claw member 4 is rotated as shown in FIG.
8 and 49 extend toward the opening 4. At this time, the cam 62,
67 rotates 90 degrees clockwise, the locking member 5
8 and 59 exit to the rear of the partition plate 39. Therefore, the claw members 48, 4 for the banknotes stored in the holding warehouse 8
9 and the locking members 58, 59 are all released.

7 to 10 are cross-sectional views showing the operation of pushing low-denomination bills into the holding warehouse 8. In the standby state shown in FIG. 7, the stack plate 42 has exited from the opening 4, and the banknotes 74 to be stored in the holding box 8 are held between the belt 33 and the roller 41. Then, as the cam 47 rotates due to the drive of the deceleration motor 46, the guide portion 44 of the stack plate 42 comes into contact with the projection of the cam 47, as shown in FIGS.
As shown in the figure, the stack plate 42 advances into the holding box 8 through the opening 4 and pushes the banknotes against the spring 38. However, the cam 47 rotates once,
When the return to the standby position is confirmed by the cam 75 and the position detection switch 76, which are fixed on the same axis, the deceleration motor 46 is stopped. When the belt 33 finishes taking in the low-denomination banknotes introduced from the receiving section 2 in this manner, the deceleration motor 46 is rotated once to introduce the banknotes into the holding warehouse 8.

Then, by driving the deceleration motor 54, the rotating shaft 52,
53 is further rotated 90 degrees counterclockwise, the claw member 49 extends inward of the holding warehouse 8, and the locking member 5 is rotated by the rotation of the cam 67 interlocked with the rotating shaft 53.
9 projects in the direction of the partition plate 39. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 6, the stored banknotes in the holding warehouse 8 are held at their lower ends by the claw member 49 and the locking member 59, but at this time, the claw member 48 and the locking member 58 are released. There is. However, when the next low-denomination bill is conveyed by the belt 33 in this levered state, the motor 26 is stopped immediately after the bill passes through the sensor 99, so that the trailing end of the bill is placed above the holding box 8. wall 3
Only a position slightly away from 6 can be captured.
After that, the rotating shafts 52 and 53 are rotated 90 degrees clockwise to remove the claw members 48 and 49 and the locking members 58 and 5.
9 is brought into the state shown in FIG. Then, the rotating shafts 52 and 53 are further rotated 90 degrees clockwise, and the upper end of the banknotes stored in the holding box 8 is clamped by the claw member 48 and the locking member 58. As described above, each time a low denomination bill is introduced, the holding box 8 stacks the banknotes in a staggered manner, and the claw members 48, 49
Either one of the banknotes is configured to extend into the holding warehouse 8 and come into contact with one end of the banknote stacked on top.

Next, the operation of taking out banknotes from the holding warehouse 8 will be explained. By the way, since the highest banknote in the holding warehouse 8 is held by either of the claw members 48 and 49, the claw members are first switched in order to free the highest banknote. Therefore, as shown in FIG.
3 in the counterclockwise direction to free the highest banknote, and hold the second and subsequent banknotes in a sandwiched state with the claw member 49 and the locking member 59 shown in FIG. It is something. On the other hand, the claw member 4
9 and the locking member 59, the switching operation is to rotate the rotary shafts 52 and 53 clockwise 180 degrees to free the highest banknote, and to release the second and subsequent banknotes. The banknotes shown in FIG. 4 are held in a sandwiched state by a claw member 48 and a locking member 58 shown in FIG. After freeing the top bill in this way, the deceleration motor 13 is reversed to move the belt 47 in the return direction, and the deceleration motor 28 is reversed to move the roller 9 clockwise. Rotate. Next, the solenoid 36 is energized to rotate the arm 34 in the direction of the arrow A, and the roller 9 is pressed against the surface of the free uppermost banknote 77 and biased in the direction of the guide piece 23. Therefore, the banknotes 77 move while being guided by the surface of the guide wall 3 on the storage box 8 side, and the tip end of the banknotes 77 is moved by the spring 25.
Pushing away the guide piece 23 against the guide roller 1
Reach 6,20. And bill 77 is belt 1
When the banknotes reach the sensor 69, the solenoid 36 and deceleration motor 26 are deactivated to stop the operation of taking out the banknotes from the holding warehouse 8. Further, the reverse rotation of the deceleration motor 13 continues until the banknote 77 is ejected from the insertion slot 1 to the outside of the machine.

(G) Effects of the Invention According to the present invention, two types of banknotes are taken in by the same conveying device, low-value banknotes are introduced into the holding warehouse as soon as they are taken in, and high-value banknotes are transferred after being taken in and placed in the storage warehouse. Because of this, it is possible to efficiently accept and store banknotes, thereby reducing the size of the device. Furthermore, the transport device and the holding warehouse are arranged opposite to each other with a guide wall in between, and one side of the guide wall is used as a guide for taking in, and the other side of the guide wall is used as a guide for returning and discharging from the holding warehouse. This makes it possible and easy to return and eject the banknotes stored in the holding box, and furthermore, since the taking direction and the discharging direction are close to each other and meet at the receiving part side, it is possible to easily return and eject the banknotes from the insertion slot of the receiving part. It has the advantage that it can be discharged and there is no need to provide a special temporary retention mechanism. Since the banknotes from the holding warehouse are moved using one side of the guide wall as a guide, return and discharge can be achieved by a simple configuration in which a payout roller is applied to the side of the banknote facing the guide wall.
