Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily manufacture a blackened steel sheet having superior performance by treating the upper zinc layer of a galvanized steel sheet with a zinc phosphate treating agent so as to form a black film of a uniform and proper thickness. CONSTITUTION:A steel sheet 2 is galvanized in two steps to obtain a galvanized steel sheet 1 having lower and upper zinc layers 3, 4. The steel sheet 2 may be electroplated with a zinc alloy. The steel sheet 1 is degreased 6, washed 7 with water and treated 8 with a zinc phosphate treating agent. The treated steel sheet 1 is washed 9 with water, further washed 10 with hot water and dried 11 with hot air.
