Medical tubes (hereinafter referred to as tubes) are made of soft synthetic resin such as vinyl chloride and are molded to an appropriate thickness. The tubes are cut to an appropriate length and a syringe needle or connecting member is fixed to the tip. However, conventional tubes were formed in a straight line, so when this tube is used as a liquid injection component, it has a syringe needle fixed to one end and a connecting member fixed to the other end. In addition, if the tube is formed in a straight line, when it is packed in a small bag such as a sterile bag, the tube will bend irregularly in the bag, and in severe cases, it will bend inside the bag. There was a problem that it deformed, and there was also the problem that it was difficult to put it into a small bag.

In the present invention, by forming the tube into a coil shape in advance, when the tube is used as a liquid injection component, it can be coiled into a small ring shape in its natural state. This was done based on the knowledge that it could make the subsequent handling such as filling etc. convenient, and the purpose was to form the tube into a coil shape in a simple manner without crushing it. The object of the present invention is to provide a method for forming a tube.

Fig. 1 shows parts for injecting liquid. In the figure, 1 is a tube, 2 is an injection needle fixed to one end of the tube, and 3 is a connecting member fixed to the other end. The tube 1 is formed into a coil shape. ing. Therefore, in its natural state, the tube 1 is wound into a coil shape as shown in the figure.

Reference numeral 4 denotes a cylindrical body used when forming the tube 1 into a coil shape. This cylindrical body 4 is made of a seamless tube made of an aluminum alloy, and has a spiral shape around the outer circumferential surface of which the tube 1 is wound and fitted. A groove 5 is provided. Further, a slit 6 for cutting out a part of the cylinder is provided in the cylinder 4 over the entire length, and the diameter of the cylinder 4 is reduced by elastically deforming by the width of the slit 6.

First, the tube 1 is wound around the spiral groove 5 of the cylindrical body 4, and both ends thereof are fixed to the cylindrical body 4 by appropriate means. At this time, both ends of the tube 1 are closed by means such as welding. Next, the tube 1 wrapped around the cylindrical body 4
The whole cylinder is heated at 150 to 220°C for about 10 minutes, preferably 3 to 5 minutes. The means for this heating may be either wet heat using steam or the like or dry heat using electricity or the like. Further, although the above-mentioned heating temperature differs depending on the molding temperature of the tube 1 and the type of synthetic resin constituting the tube, it is necessary to maintain the temperature constant within each upper limit temperature range.

After being heated at a predetermined temperature for a certain period of time as described above, the tube 1 is cooled together with the cylindrical body 4. This cooling is carried out in air at a temperature below 20°C, preferably below 10°C, for up to 10 minutes, preferably for 3 to 5 minutes.

Note that the above cooling means may use a Freon liquid, and the tube 1 together with the cylindrical body 4 may be immersed therein for cooling. To remove the tube 1 from the cylindrical body 4, the cylindrical body 4 is compressed and deformed diametrically by the width of the slit 6 to reduce its diameter, and in this state the coiled tube 1 is removed in the axial direction.

In this way, the tube 1 is formed into a coil shape that follows the spiral groove 5 of the cylindrical body 4. The tube 1 thus formed into a coil shape is then cut into a desired length for use.

The present invention is as described above, and the tube 1 with both ends closed is wound around the spiral groove 5 of the cylinder body 4, which is provided with a slit 6 for cutting out a part of the cylinder over the entire length and a spiral groove 5 on the outer periphery. This was heated and cooled to form a coil shape, and then the cylinder 4 was compressed and deformed in the diametrical direction by the width of the slit 6 to make the diameter smaller. The tube was then removed. It can be formed into a very orderly coil shape. Further, after molding, the cylindrical body 4 can be easily removed from the cylindrical body 4 by compressing and deforming the cylindrical body 4 in the diametrical direction.
