Abstract

PURPOSE:To select a face-up or face-down state via a change of the discharge direction of the recording paper after fixing by providing a semi-rotatable selecting means in a recording device such as a printer using electrophotographic technology. CONSTITUTION:The conveyor section 8 of a device is constituted with a guide plate 19 receiving the recording paper 3 in a face-up state, a fixing roll 20, a selecting means 7, and conveyor roll pairs 21a, 21b, 21c, 21d, 21e, 21f, etc. Among them, the selecting means 7 is semi-rotatable centering a shaft 24 and is switched manually or automatically via a signal from a control mechanism.
