[Detailed description of the invention] This invention consists of abrasive grains such as carborundum and alumina oxide mixed in a synthetic resin filament, and a part of the abrasive grains exposed from the surface of the filament. This invention relates to an improvement in a tool that improves grinding efficiency by making use of the property that the filament has high rigidity in the width direction by forming the filament to have a rectangular diameter with a flat cross section.

Abrasive grains such as carborundum and alumina oxide are mixed in filaments made of synthetic resin such as nylon, and a portion of the abrasive grains is exposed on the surface of the filaments, thereby converging a large number of the filaments. It is already known from Patent No. 830307, etc., that the rotor is rotated and used for abrasive grinding. These conventional products have a round wire with a diameter of about 1 mm, so they are highly flexible and therefore have the disadvantage of not making strong contact with the surface to be ground. A braided cord made of several round wires was used for grinding, but the braided cord is thick and inconvenient for forming tools, and if the tool is made thinner, its grinding efficiency will inevitably decrease. This idea was developed by forming synthetic resin filaments mixed with abrasive grains into a flat rectangular cross section, converging the required number of filaments with a specific length, and then collecting the filaments at one end of the bundle. is inserted and filled into the cylinder of a bag-shaped cylindrical rotating body, and the rim of the cylinder is squeezed to fix the bundle to the cylindrical rotating body. Since the filament has strong flexibility in the width direction, it can be used as a through-hole as well.
This makes it possible to create a practically excellent grinding tool that can effectively grind surfaces to be ground such as blind holes.

In the embodiment shown in the accompanying drawings, the grinding filaments constituting the grinding tool (FIG. 2) include abrasive grains 10 such as carborundum or alumina oxide mixed with synthetic resin filaments 1 such as nylon. 10 is exposed from the surface of the filament 1 to form the abrasive grains 10.
In particular, the filament 1 is formed to have a flat rectangular cross section. The rectangular shape should be about three times as wide as the thickness of the filament 1, and the thickness should be 0.5 mm or more.

A required number of filaments 1 having a specific length having the above configuration are collected, one end thereof is inserted and filled into the bag-like cylinder 20 of the cylindrical rotating body 2 shown in FIG. A bundle of filaments 1 is fixed to a rotating body 2.

The grinding tool of this invention has the above structure, and when the shaft 22 protruding from the bottom of the cylindrical rotating body 2 is appropriately attached to a rotating mechanism and the tool is given rotation, the tips of the many converged filaments 1 are It will spread appropriately depending on the relationship between the length and the rotational speed of the tool. Its spread is effective in grinding the inner surface of the hole. The rectangular filament 1 is easy to bend in the thickness direction, but is strong and difficult to bend in the width direction.
When the blade is clamped in its width direction, it exhibits excellent grinding effectiveness, making it a practical grinding tool.

In order to reinforce the weak flexibility of the filament 1 in the thickness direction, it is possible to mix a highly elastic wire such as the metal strands 3 into the bundled filaments 1, 1, etc. 3 also has the effect of cooling the high heat generated by the filament 1 during grinding.
