Abstract

PURPOSE:To uniformly preheat the surface of a body to be treated and to attain uniform carburization by superposing an alternating magnetic field on a rotating magnetic field to subject the body to induction heating. CONSTITUTION:Six faces of a body 4 to be treated in the peripheral and vertical directions are surrounded with coils 1, 2, 3, 1', 2', 3'. A rotating magnetic field is applied with the coils 1, 1' and the coils 2, 2' and an alternating magnetic field is superposed on the rotating magnetic field with the coils 3, 3' to uniformly supply an induced current to the whole surface of the body 4. Thus, the surface of the body 4 is uniformly preheated and uniform carburization is attained.

かけると第1図(b)のように誘導電流が流れて対象物
4の側面のみが加熱される。
