Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the modulation distortion generated at the time of amplitude modulation by providing a means which detects the output signal of a modulated device and a means which shapes the modulated signal by the detection signal of a detecting means. CONSTITUTION:A modulator 1 amplifies an inputted lowfrequency sine wave signal A to generate a modulated signal B, and this signal is inputted to one input terminal of a differential amplifier 5-1 of a subtracter circuit 5. Meanwhile, a linear detector 4 detects the output amplitude modulated signal of a modulated device 3 to detect the modulated signal having modulation distortion, and this signal is outputted to the other input terminal of the differential amplifier 5-1. A shaping means subtracts the distorted detection waveform taken out by the detecting means from the output waveform of the modulator to generated an error signal. The differential amplifier 5-1 detects the error signal between the output signal of the linear detector and that of the modulator 1, and this error signal is inputted to the modulated device 3 as a correcting signal. Thus, the amplitude distortion component of the modulated device 3 is compensated with the correcting signal to obtain an amplitude modulated waveform of less linear distortion.
