A method of assembling a safety device using a rectangular case and assembling a secure fit is known in Japanese Patent Publication No. 56-29375. This method of assembly is explained using Fig. 1. Hook part 3 of metal fitting 2
to the position where the insertion hole 5 of the insulating plate 4 is inserted.
After assembling the mounting bracket 2 and the insulating plate 4 by applying an external force F to the upper end of the case 1 inward, the case 1 is assembled as shown in FIG. 2 by removing the external force F.
The insertion hole 5 of the insulating plate 5 is wider than the hook part 3 of the mounting fitting 2, and a lead 7 having a weak point 6 is fixed between the insulating plates 4. Since the insertion hole 5 provided in the insulating plate 4 is wider than the area of the hook portion 3 of the mounting bracket, a gap 8 remains after the assembly is completed. As for the capacitor, if the case lid 9 is caulked with a seamer after the safety device is assembled, the capacitor case will have increased rigidity and will not be deformed. However, in the process of assembling the case lid 9, there were occasions when the capacitor came into contact with the case while being assembled, and the insulating plate 4, which had been set with great effort, sometimes fell off.

The present invention has been made to solve this problem, and an embodiment of the present invention will be described based on the drawings.
An insulating plate 4 to which a lead 7 having a weak point 6 is fixed is attached to the mounting bracket 2
is held in A thin plate 10 of an insulating plate such as a press board is inserted into the gap 8 between the insertion hole 5 of the insulating plate 4 and the mounting fitting 2. This thin plate 10 may be bent into a V-shape and may be made of any material having spring properties.

The capacitor safety device of the present invention is a known safety device in which the weak point of the lead is cut when the capacitor case expands in the event of an abnormality, thereby interrupting the capacitor circuit. The thin insulating plate 10 having spring properties inserted into the gap 8 of the insertion hole 5 in the closed state prevents the insulating plate 4 from detaching from the mounting fitting 2. Since the insulating plate no longer comes off even if it comes into contact with the side surface of the case 1 while assembling the capacitor, the work is improved and the quality is stabilized.
