For example, when using an endoscope to observe or treat a blockage (lesion) that follows a narrow cavity in the body, such as the cardia of the stomach or the esophagus, the narrow cavity is It is common to use a guide tube to extend the FIG. 1 shows a state in which the insertion section 3 of the endoscope is inserted through a conventional guide tube 2 into a narrow cavity 1 in the body. Secretions such as gastric juice and bleeding blood accumulate and cover the obstructed area (lesioned area) 4, thereby interfering with observation and treatment using an endoscope.

This invention was made with attention to the above circumstances,
The purpose of this is to provide a means to remove secretions such as gastric juice and blood that accumulate in the distal end that comes into contact with the obstructed part (lesioned part) in the narrow cavity, and to prevent this from accumulating. An object of the present invention is to provide a guide tube for an endoscope that does not interfere with observation or treatment.

11 in Fig. 2 is the guide tube 1 for the endoscope.
This guide tube body 11 is formed by attaching and fixing a cylindrical mouthpiece 14 to the proximal end of a flexible insertion tube 13. Each inner diameter is larger than the outer diameter of an insertion section 16 of an endoscope, which will be described later. Further, inside the distal end portion 13a of the insertion tube 13 in the guide tube body 11, the inner lumen 1 is provided.
A suction port 17 facing 5 is formed. and,
This suction port 17 extends within each wall of the insertion tube 13 and the mouthpiece 14 and is connected to a suction conduit 18 formed along the longitudinal axis of the guide tube body 11 . Note that the suction line 18 is connected to the insertion tube 1.
3, and a small hole 20 formed in the wall of the cap 14 so as to communicate with the side hole 19. It is blocked. The base 14 also has a connection port 22 that communicates with the small hole 20.
A suction tube (not shown) that communicates with a vacuum source (not shown) is connected to this connection port 22 .

Next, a method of using the guide tube 12 for an endoscope and its function will be explained.

For example, as shown in Figure 5, narrow spaces such as the esophagus A
When observing or treating an obstructive lesion B in the middle of the narrow cavity A with an endoscope, inserting the insertion section 16 of the endoscope directly into the narrow cavity A will cause damage to the mucous membrane and the lesion in the narrow cavity A. B comes into close contact with the distal end surface of the insertion section 16, making it impossible to observe it. Therefore, this guide tube 12 for an endoscope is used.

First, insert the insertion tube 13 of the guide tube body 11 to the lesion B of the narrow cavity A, and
By applying the tip of the lesion B to the lesion B, the tip 1
The lesion B is made to protrude inside 3a. and,
Observation or treatment is performed using the endoscope with a fixed distance between the insertion section 16 of the endoscope and the lesion B.

At this time, the blood bleeding from the lesion B and secretions such as gastric juice flowing out from the stomach are removed from the tip 13.
However, by vacuum suctioning through the suction port 17 and the suction conduit 18, it is discharged to the outside to prevent it from accumulating in the distal end portion 13a. Therefore, the lesion B can be prevented from being covered with bleeding blood, secreted fluid, etc., and observation and treatment using an endoscope will not be hindered.

In particular, the suction port 17 is connected to the guide tube body 1.
Since the guide tube 12 is formed facing the inner lumen 15 of the guide tube 12, even if the guide tube 12 is inserted into a narrow cavity A such as the esophagus, it will not be blocked by the inner wall surface of the narrow cavity. In other words, bleeding blood, secretions, etc. can be discharged reliably and quickly.

As explained above, by using the guide tube for an endoscope of the present invention, it is possible to quickly and reliably suction out bleeding blood and secretions that tend to accumulate in the tip of the guide tube body, allowing observation using an endoscope. The work can be carried out efficiently without any hindrance to the treatment work.
