In the case of drum-type dryers, in order to improve drying efficiency, hot air is recently supplied into the drum from the front side, and the air is also discharged from the drum from the front side. For example, an air guide is fixedly disposed outside the entrance and exit of the material to be dried, and the front opening of the drum is rotatably supported by the outer periphery of the air guide, and an inlet and an inlet are connected to the air guide facing into the drum. An outflow port is formed, an inflow port is communicated with an outside air intake formed on the front surface of the outer box, the outflow port is communicated with an exhaust duct, and a heater is provided between the outside air intake and the inflow port. That comes to mind. However, in this case, the heater is located near the outside of the peripheral wall of the entrance and exit, and the peripheral wall of the entrance is heated by the heater.
If you touch the peripheral wall of the entrance/exit when removing clothes from the drum, you may feel hot or get burned. In order to prevent this, it would be possible to install a heat insulating material on the inner peripheral surface of the entrance/exit, but this is disadvantageous in terms of cost, and the clothing being agitated by the rotation of the drum may come into contact with the heat insulating material. This may cause the insulation material to peel off.

The present invention is provided with a hot air passage located outside one side of the peripheral wall of the inlet/outlet of the material to be dried, in which a heater is disposed, and which communicates with the inside of the drum, and an outer box in which the drum is disposed. An air intake port is provided between the hot air passage and the peripheral wall of the entrance and exit port, and communicates with the inside of the outer box, and also communicates with the drum, so that air is drawn from the air intake port into the outer box by the blowing action of the blower fan. It is characterized by being composed of a cold air path that allows outside air to flow into the drum, thereby allowing the wind passing through this cold air path to cool the peripheral wall of the entrance and exit and prevent its temperature from rising. .

An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. Reference numeral 1 denotes an outer box, of which a horizontally long rectangular opening 2 is formed approximately in the center of a front plate 1a. Reference numeral 3 denotes a drum disposed within the outer box 1, and this drum 3 has a so-called thin shape with an axial dimension smaller than its radial dimension, and a circular opening 4 with a large diameter formed on the front surface. A pivot shaft 5 protruding from approximately the center of the back plate portion 3a is pivotally supported by a support frame 1b fixed to the back of the outer box 1. Reference numeral 6 denotes a substantially annular air guiding body having a substantially rectangular opening formed on the inside, which has a rectangular peripheral wall portion 6a and an annular shape slightly smaller in diameter than the inner diameter of the circular opening 4 of the drum 3 on both the inner and outer peripheral edges. It is formed by bending the peripheral wall portion 6b, and when the annular peripheral wall portion 6b is fitted into the circular opening 4 of the drum 3, a fixing flange portion 6c formed on the outer peripheral edge of the annular peripheral wall portion 6b is attached. It is fixed to the inside of the front plate 1a of the outer box 1. Then, a gasket 7 is interposed between the circular opening 4 of the drum 3 and the annular peripheral wall 6b of the air guiding body 6 to provide a seal, and a bearing (not shown) provided on the annular peripheral wall 6b allows the drum 3 to The circular opening 4 is supported. In the installed state of the air guide body 6, the air guide body 6 is located inside the large diameter circular opening 4 and constitutes a part of the front surface of the drum 3, and the center rectangular peripheral wall portion is located inside the large circular opening 4. The opening on the inside of the drum 6a serves as an entrance 8 through which clothes and the like to be dried are taken in and out of the drum 3. Further, an annular space 9 is formed between the air guide body 6 and the front plate 1a of the outer box 1, and rectangular openings 2 of the front plate 1a are formed on both left and right sides of the air guide body 6.
It is open to the front through both the left and right sides of the. Then, as shown in FIG. 3, this air guiding body 6
On both the left and right sides with the entrance/exit port 8 in the middle, there are a number of inflow ports 10 communicating with the inside of the drum 3, respectively.
In particular, in this embodiment, the inlet 10 is located on the fall side of the clothes that are stirred as the drum 3 rotates (that is, when the drum 3 is rotated counterclockwise as described later). The outflow port 11 is formed on the right side. Reference numeral 12 denotes a substantially rectangular ventilation grill attached to the front panel 1a of the outer box 1. This grill covers the left side of the rectangular opening 2 of the front panel 1a and the left open section of the air guide 6. Numerous slit-shaped outside air intake ports 13
is formed. Reference numeral 14 denotes a generally rectangular cylindrical warm air ventilation case which is a warm air path and is attached to surround the area where the inlet 10 groups of the air guide 6 are formed. The rectangular surrounding wall portion 6a and the annular surrounding wall portion 6 are located outside one side of the rectangular surrounding wall portion 6a, that is, in this embodiment, on the left side outside of the rectangular surrounding wall portion 6a.
b, and the ventilation case 14 airtightly separates and communicates between the inflow port 10 and the outside air intake port 13 with the space inside the air guide body 6. I'm letting you do it. Reference numeral 15 denotes a heater formed in a honeycomb shape using, for example, a semiconductor having positive temperature characteristics.
are formed and fitted into each of these holes 14b to heat the air flowing inside the ventilation case 14. On the other hand, 16 is the outlet 11 of the air guide body 6.
17 is a front plate 1a of the outer box 1;
This is a cover for forming a substantially rectangular exhaust path that is attached so as to close the right end portion of the rectangular opening 2. The cover 17 connects the exhaust case 16 to the exhaust duct 18 in an airtight manner. The exhaust duct 18 is arranged on the front side inside the outer box 1, and a lint filter 19 is attached to the lower end opening into the cover 17.
The upper end is connected to a fan casing 20 disposed in the upper part of the outer box 1. This fan casing 20 has a blowing fan 21 disposed therein, and its discharge port 20a is opened to the outside at the top plate portion 1c of the outer box 1. 22 is a motor fixed to the bottom plate portion 1d of the outer box 1; 23 is a belt; this belt 23 is connected to a driving pulley 24 fitted to the rotating shaft of the motor 22; and a driven pulley 25 fitted to the rotating shaft of the blower fan 21. and extends around the outer periphery of the drum 3, and by driving the motor 22, the drum 3 is rotated counterclockwise and the blowing fan 21 is also rotated. Therefore, 2
6 is an intake hole for sucking outside air into the outer box 1;
This consists of a plurality of slits formed in the lower part of the back plate 27 of the outer box 1 at a portion facing the motor 22. 28 connects the ventilation case 1 to the air guide body 6.
4 and a rectangular peripheral wall 6a that is the peripheral wall of the entrance/exit 8. A large number of ventilation holes 29 are formed to the left of the fixing flange 6c of the air guide 6 to open a space inside the air guide 6. This is a recess formed to communicate with the inside of the outer box 1, and these vent holes 28 and recesses 29
Therefore, the gap between the ventilation case 14 and the rectangular peripheral wall 6a is configured as a cold air passage 30, and specifically, this cold air passage 30 communicates with the inside of the air guide body 6 and the outer box 1 via the recess 29. It communicates with the inside of the drum 3 via the pores 28. In addition, 31 is the cover 17

Next, the operation of the above configuration will be explained. Load the clothes into the drum 3, set the timer 33, and turn the motor 2 on.
2 and the heater 15, the blower fan 21
rotates at high speed, and the drum 3 rotates counterclockwise. As the drum 3 rotates, the clothes inside rise up while remaining in contact with the inner peripheral surface of the drum 3 on the right side of the drum 3, and when they reach near the top, the momentum of the rotation up to that point causes the clothes inside the drum 3 to move up to the left side of the drum 3. Repeat the stirring motion of loosening and falling. Also, due to the rotation of the blower fan 21, the drum 3
Since the pressure inside becomes negative, the outside air is sucked in from the outside air intake port 13 as shown by arrow A in FIG. The air is blown out from the inlet 10 toward the left side of the drum 3 toward the back. The warm air blown out from drum 3 first flows through drum 3.
In the left side of the drum 3, it collides with the continuously falling clothes while being loosened, spreads widely and flows between the clothes, absorbing the moisture, and then turns to the right as a whole and falls on the right side of the drum 3. Then, as the drum 3 rotates, the clothes rising upward are dried. The exhaust air that has removed the moisture from the clothes in this way flows into the cover 17 through the outlet 11 of the air guiding body 6 and the inside of the exhaust case 16, and further passes through the lint filter 19 from the exhaust duct 18 to the fan casing. 20 and is discharged outside the machine from the discharge port 20a. Therefore, the hot air blown into the drum 3 from the inlet 10 does not directly flow into the outlet 11, but instead changes direction within the drum 3 and flows in the radial direction, which is why the drum 3 is thin. The hot air also spreads over a wide area inside the drum 3 and stays there for a relatively long time, which in turn increases the chances of the hot air coming into contact with the clothes, improving drying efficiency.

On the other hand, as described above, since the inside of the drum 3 becomes negative pressure due to the rotation of the blower fan 21, the drum 3
Since the inside of the outer box 1, which is in communication with the inside, also becomes negative pressure,
Outside air is sucked into the outer box 1 through the intake hole 26. The air flowing in from the intake hole 26 first flows around the motor 22 to cool it, as shown by arrow B in FIGS. The air flows into the air body 6. The air flowing into the air guide body 6 flows around the ventilation case 14, flows into the cold air passage 30, and flows into the drum 3 through the ventilation holes 28, as shown by arrow C in FIG. In the process in which the air flowing into the air guide body 6 from inside the outer box 1 flows through the cold air path 30, the rectangular peripheral wall 6a of the air guide body 6, which is the peripheral wall of the entrance/exit 8, is cooled. is the rectangular peripheral wall part 3
Even if there is a situation where the rectangular peripheral wall part 6a is heated, the temperature of the rectangular peripheral wall part 6a does not rise that much, and when the clothes are taken out from the drum 3 after the drying operation, the rectangular peripheral wall part 6a is heated. Even if you touch the part 6a, it will not feel that hot and there is no risk of getting burned.

In addition, since the hot air passage 14 is disposed outside the left side of the rectangular peripheral wall 6a,
Of these, the portion heated by the hot air path 14 is limited to the left side. For this reason, the cold air path 30
The area to be cooled by this method is only the left side of the rectangular peripheral wall 6a. Therefore, unlike the case where a hot air path is formed around the entire circumference of the rectangular peripheral wall 6a, the entire circumference of the rectangular peripheral wall 6a is cooled. Since there is no need for cooling, the amount of air flowing through the cold air path 30 can be reduced. This means that the drum 3 is not heated by the heater 15.
This means that the amount of outside air directly flowing into the drum 3 can be suppressed to a relatively small amount, and it is possible to prevent the temperature inside the drum 3 from decreasing as much as possible due to the outside air flowing into the drum 3 through the cold air path 30. Moreover,
Since the outside air for cooling flows into the cold air path 30 through the outer box 1, it is heated by the heat radiated from the drum 3, motor 22, etc. while flowing inside the outer box 1, and the air inside the outer box 1 is heated. This is more advantageous in suppressing the temperature rise and preventing the temperature inside the drum 3 from decreasing due to the outside air for cooling.

In this case, if the intake port 26 for taking outside air into the outer box 1 is formed at a position corresponding to the motor 22 as in this embodiment, the outside air to be circulated in the cold air path 30 can be directly supplied to the motor 22. Since the outside air can be used for cooling and is warmed by cooling the motor 22, it is more effective in preventing a drop in the temperature inside the drum 3.

(Effect of the invention) As explained above, in the present invention, a cold air path is formed between the hot air path and the peripheral wall of the entrance/exit of the material to be dried, so that the peripheral wall of the entrance/exit is heated by the hot air path. Even under such circumstances, the surrounding wall of the entrance and exit can be cooled by the air flowing through the cold air path, and the temperature rise can be suppressed. However, there is no risk of feeling hot or getting burned. Moreover,
Since the hot air path is located on the outside of one side of the peripheral wall of the entrance/exit, it is only necessary to cool the one side where the hot air path is installed, and the outside air is used for cooling. Since the structure is configured such that the air is once introduced into the outer box and then introduced into the drum through the cold air passage, the amount of outside air for cooling is smaller than when cooling the entire circumference of the peripheral wall of the entrance and exit. Since the outside air for use is warmed by heat radiation from the drum etc. as it passes through the outer box, it is possible to prevent the temperature inside the drum from decreasing as much as possible due to the outside air flowing into the drum through the cold air path. This has excellent effects such as being able to prevent a decrease in drying efficiency.
