[Detailed explanation of the invention] [Purpose of the invention] (Field of industrial application) The invention is a wire-wound resistor or coil (hereinafter referred to as a wire-wound resistor) in which a metal wire is wound around the surface of a winding core. The present invention relates to a terminal structure in which a stepped cap is fitted onto an electronic component.

(Prior Art) Conventionally, as shown in FIG. 6, the terminal structure of a wire-wound resistor is such that the terminal end of a metal wire 3 wound on the surface of a winding core 1 is wrapped around the pawl 4 of the stepped cap 2 and soldered. A method of fixing by attaching or electric welding, or a means of fixing by directly soldering or electric welding the terminal end of the metal wire 3 to the side surface of the cap 5 fitted to both ends of the winding core 1 as shown in FIG. is taken.

However, in the above method, when a thin metal wire is wound around the claw of a cap with a claw, the metal wire is likely to be cut by sharp parts such as burrs on the claw. Furthermore, when thin metal wires are soldered or electrically welded, the metal wires are likely to melt due to heat and break. This is a particular problem when the diameter of the metal wire is 40 μΦ or less, causing a decrease in reliability.

In addition, as a means of not directly soldering or welding the terminal end of the metal wire to the cap claw or cap, as described in Publication of Utility Model Publication No. 43-3316, a resistance wire is wound around a winding core made of a glass fiber bundle. The outer periphery of this resistance wire wrapped part is covered with an insulating layer made of a glass fiber knitted bag, and a terminal fitting is inserted and crimped from the resistance wire wrapped part of the winding core left at both ends to a part of the insulating layer. This configuration is known.

Furthermore, as described in Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 39-30482, a resistance wire is wound around a winding core made of a glass fiber bundle, and the outer periphery of this resistance wire wound portion is covered with an insulating layer, leaving a layer at both ends. A configuration is described in which a terminal fitting is loosely inserted from the resistance wire winding portion of the winding core to a part of the insulating layer, and then tightened by squeezing both sides of the terminal fitting.

(Problems to be solved by the invention) What is described in each of the above publications is shown in Figures 1 and 2.
Compared to the case where the end of the metal wire shown in the figure is soldered or welded to the claw of the cap, or the end of the metal wire is soldered or welded directly to the cap, there is no soldering or welding part, so the metal wire is soldered or welded. There is no risk of cutting at the end, but since the end of the winding core wrapped with resistance wire is tightly tightened with the cap together with the resistance wire, if the winding core is made of a hard material such as ceramic, it may be difficult to press fit or tighten the cap. Therefore, there is a problem in that the resistance wire breaks between the winding core and the cap.

An object of the present invention is to provide an electronic component in which the metal wire does not need to be soldered or welded to the cap, and the metal wire will not be disconnected between the winding core and the cap by tightening the cap.

(Means for Solving the Problems) The present invention consists of a winding core wrapped with metal wire and a stepped cap that is fitted onto the winding core, and the cap is fitted onto the winding core by press-fitting. It consists of a small diameter part that is wrapped around the core, and a large diameter part that is tightly fixed to the metal wire by wrapping the end of the metal wire wound around the core.

(Function) The small diameter part of the stepped cap is strongly press-fitted into the winding core to fix the cap to the winding core, and the large diameter part of the stepped cap is used to wrap around the end of the metal wire wound around the winding core. The metal wire is brought into close contact with the metal wire to establish an electrical connection.

Reference numeral 6 denotes a winding core around which a metal wire 8 is wound, leaving both ends 7, 7, and both ends of the metal wire 8 are fixed to the winding core 6 with adhesive.

Reference numeral 9 designates a stepped cap which is fitted into the core 6 including a small diameter portion 10 which is fitted onto the end 7 of the core 6 on which the metal wire 8 is not wound, and a part of the wound metal wire 8. The inner diameter of the small diameter portion 10 is slightly smaller than the diameter of the winding core 6, and the inner diameter of the large diameter portion 11 is the same as that of the winding core 6 containing the metal wire 8. It is slightly larger than the diameter.

Then, as shown in FIG. 5, the small diameter part 10 of the cap 9 is press-fitted into the end part 7, which has a slightly larger diameter than the inner diameter of the cap 9 where the metal wire 8 of the winding core 6 is not wound. It fits into the end 7.

When the small diameter part 10 of the cap 9 is fitted onto the end part 7 of the winding core 6 in this way, the large diameter part 1 of the cap 9
1 is inserted into the outer periphery of the metal wire 8 wound around the coiled end of the metal wire 8 wound around the winding core 6, with a slight gap therebetween.

Next, the large diameter portion 11 of the cap 9 is tightened in the axial direction to form pleated protrusions 12, and the inner diameter of the large diameter portion is brought into close contact with the metal wire 8.

Next, to explain the function of this embodiment, the metal wire 8
The small diameter portions 10, 10 of the caps 9, 9 are strongly press-fitted into both ends 7, 7 of the winding core 6 on which the caps 9, 9 are not wound and are difficult to escape from the winding core 6, and the large diameter portions 11 of the caps 9, 9 are hard to escape from the winding core 6. , 11 are in contact with each other over several pitches of the coiled portions at both ends of the metal wire 8 wound around the winding core 6, so that the electrical connection is good. Since it is tightened to the extent that it contacts the metal wire 8, there is no risk of wire breakage due to press-fitting of the caps 9, even if the winding core 6 is made of a hard material such as racemic.

According to the present invention, the cap is securely fixed to the winding core by the small diameter part press-fitted into the winding core, and the cap is not press-fitted into the winding core around which the metal wire is wound, but by the large diameter part. Since the cap is tightly attached to the metal wire by wrapping, a reliable electrical connection can be made without damaging the metal wire, preventing disconnection and increasing reliability.
