Those with different diameters coexist. In such an optical information reading device that is capable of reproducing two or more types of optical discs with different diameters, for convenience of handling, the discs are placed on the transport tray 1 as shown in FIG. 7, for example. The disk mounting portions 2a and 2b are formed in a coaxial stepped shape according to the respective diameters of Da and Db. That is, each disk mounting section 2a
, 2b are formed as circular recesses with a diameter slightly larger than the diameters of the disks Da and Db, and by placing the disks therein, positioning (centering) can be achieved to a certain extent.

Each of the disk support pieces 15 is formed with a support surface 16 that slopes downward toward the center of the disk mounting portion 13 and supports the disk D at its outer periphery. This supporting surface 16 may be a concave curved surface 16a having a curvature that approximately matches the curvature of the outer peripheral edge of the disk D, as shown in FIG. 4, or a flat tapered surface 16a as shown in FIG. It consists of a surface 16b. However, if a flat tapered surface 16b@ is selected, it is desirable to protrude a stopper 17 from the lower end of the tapered surface 16b to prevent the disk D from slipping down at an early stage.

The other end 20b is engaged with a boss 21 projecting from the side wall of the disk support piece 15. Furthermore, levers 22 and 22 extending in directions facing each other are attached to one end of each of the rotating shafts 18a and 18b.

On the other hand, the pivot arms 23.23 are held by the motor 27 in a standby angle in which their ends are located above each lever 22.22. In this state, when the disk D is placed in the disk mounting section 13, the disk D will be held by the support surface 16 of each disk support piece 15. In that case, the support surface 16 is formed in an inclined shape as described above.

Next, when this conveyance tray 10 enters the clamping area of the reading device and is set at the position shown in FIG. Figure 3 Rotates clockwise. This causes the pivot arm 23.23 to simultaneously press down on the corresponding lever 22.22. therefore.

The disks are arranged so that they are located on the circumference, and each disk support piece is rotated downward synchronously, and as the disk moves, the disk slides along each support surface and is placed on the spindle motor upper arm. Because of this configuration, the disk can be automatically centered and guided to an accurate position on the spindle motor without damaging the recording surface. As described above, according to the present invention, since the disc is automatically centered, it is easy to attach and remove the dig from the disc mounting portion, and special consideration is not required especially when handling discs of different diameters. The effect is remarkable, as there is no
