DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to an improvement of a subrack that accommodates a plurality of printed board units arranged side by side, which are widely used in the construction of communication equipment and electronic equipment. Generally, this kind of sub-rack has a connector on the inside back, and the individual printed board units are inserted from the front by guiding guide rails arranged on the top and bottom of the inside, and the end terminals of the units are connected to the connectors and electrical connections. It is configured to be mechanically and removably connected to each other.

FIG. 1 shows a side view of the main part of this type of subrack. A printed board unit 2 is equipped with a strip-shaped surface plate 1 at the end of the surface. 4' as a guide,
It is inserted through the front opening of the subrack 3, and the end terminals 5, 5' of the printed board unit 2 are electrically and mechanically connected to the connectors 7, 7' provided on the back board 6 of the subrack 3. There is.
The rear terminals of the connectors 7, 7' are connected, for example, by wrapping, to a branch line of an external connection cable connection L arranged on the back of the subrack 3.

In such a configuration, addition, maintenance, replacement, etc. of subracks must be performed from the back side. Therefore, it is necessary to install an appropriate number of these subracks, such as a transmitting rack, a receiving rack, or a control rack. In order to install a device rack such as a rack, it is necessary to provide a space on the back side or to have a structure that allows it to be moved forward, and also to have a space where the operator can go around the back side. This directly shows that the installation efficiency of this type of equipment is poor.

As a solution to these conventional drawbacks, a configuration has been proposed in which the subrack itself can be inserted and removed from the front, and the connection with the connection cable can be made by using a separate connector and plug provided at the back. ,
Although it is possible to insert and remove the subrack with this configuration, it is not possible to change the connection with the external connection cable from the front, so it is necessary to create a space at the back or a structure that allows it to be moved forward. The need remains.

The present invention focuses on the fact that the end terminals of individual printed board units housed in a subrack have many terminals that are commonly connected to external connection cables, and connects the back connectors to the end terminals of each printed board unit. The common terminals are collectively housed and connected to the connector jack provided on the front of the subrack, and the external connection cables are also connected to another connector jack provided on the front of the subrack in line with the above connector jack. All of the drawbacks of the prior art have been overcome by configuring the connectors to be housed in each other and to be removably connected to each jack portion using a connecting cord with connector plugs at both ends.

As is clear from the above structure, in the subrack structure of the present invention, it is possible to pull out the individual printed board units forward in the same manner as before, and each subrack can also be connected to the connecting cord 21 at the front of the upper part.
21' etc., it can be pulled out to the front, and the branch connection line 17 of the external connection cable 16 is also wired to the front of the top surface of the subrack 7, so maintenance such as wiring changes and inspections can be done from the front of the equipment rack. is possible. Therefore, there is no need for any space on the back of the equipment rack for maintenance and inspection or for pulling it out to the front, and this, coupled with the economical efficiency of the installation area, has a great practical effect.
