DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a document pressing device in an image forming apparatus such as a copying machine or a simple printing machine. More specifically, the present invention relates to a document pressing device that can be easily attached and detached from the main body of an image forming apparatus when necessary, and that will not come off inadvertently.

以下、複写機を例にとり説明する。 The explanation will be given below using a copying machine as an example.

Copying machines are usually equipped with a so-called original pressing device for the purpose of holding down the original and blocking external light. There are two types of crimping devices: one has a hard crimping plate with a back plate made of a hard material, and the other has a soft crimping plate with a back plate made of a flexible material such as rubber. . The present invention is applicable to both these hard and soft pressure bonding plates.

Conventionally, these crimping devices have been fixedly attached to the main body of the copying machine. Therefore, when it is desired to copy a document having an area larger than the document placement surface, the document is obstructed by the pressure bonding device, and it is difficult to place the document at a predetermined position on the document placement surface. Alternatively, when it is desired to remove the equal pressure bonding device from the main body for repair, cleanliness, or for use in an ADF (automatic document feeder) device, it is time consuming to attach and detach it.

Therefore, in recent years, a crimping device has been removably attached to the main body of a copying machine. This is due to the diversification of copier applications and the need to copy large-sized originals.
Particularly effective. In addition, when using an ADF, the crimping device must be removed, but this can be done easily by making it easier to attach and detach the crimping device.
Installation of the ADF has also become easier. However, although the currently known devices have become easier to attach and detach than before, they still require time and effort to attach and detach, or there is a risk that they may come off inadvertently during operation.

The present invention has been made to achieve the above object,
It has the following configuration. That is, in an openable and closable document pressure device that supports a document on a document placement surface, the device includes a document pressure bonding plate that presses the document against the document placement surface, and a document pressure bonding plate that is rotatably supported on the main body of the device and elastically deforms. The support member has a support member whose pivot support to the main body is releasable and which supports the original pressure bonding plate so as to be openable and closable on the apparatus main body by fitting into a fitting portion of a holding member fixed to the document pressure bonding plate. The above-mentioned holding member restricts elastic deformation of the support member when the original pressure bonding plate is located on the side of the document placement surface, and restricts elastic deformation of the support member when the document pressure bonding plate is located on the side away from the document placement surface. , which is characterized by allowing elastic deformation of the support member.

In the figure, 1 is the main body of the copying machine, 2 is the original table, and 3
is a document placement surface made of glass. Further, 4 is a document pressure bonding plate, which may be either a hard type or a soft type. The crimp plate 4 is provided with two horizontal elongated holes 5 near the end on the crimp plate attachment side. Further, reference numeral 6 denotes a lever member which is a supporting member, and supports the pressure bonding plate 4 in an open manner when the pressure bonding plate 4 is released from the document placement surface 3. This lever member 6 has a substantially U-shape, and both ends thereof are bent outward to form a rotating shaft portion 6a, and this rotating shaft portion 6a is attached to a bearing portion 7 fixed to the document table 2. It is fitted so that it can rotate freely. Further, this lever member 6 has a rising portion 6b on the bearing portion 7 side that is bent in a direction substantially perpendicular to the document placement surface when the pressure bonding plate 6 is closed (FIG. 1). . The lever member 6 is engaged with the pressure bonding plate 4 by the rising portion 6b passing through the elongated hole 5. The crimp plate 4 is then opened and closed around its bearing portion 7 by grasping the handle 9 and raising and lowering it. When the pressure bonding plate 4 is opened, the apex 6d of the rising portion of the lever member 6 comes into contact with the document table 2, and the lever member 6 becomes independent and supports the pressure bonding plate 4 in an open state (FIG. 2).

Furthermore, a holding member 8 is fixedly provided above the long notch 5 of the crimp plate 4. This holding member 8 is provided with a notch 8a along the arcuate portion 6c of the lever member 6 and having approximately the same width as the rising portion 6b of the lever member 6. Therefore, the rising portion 6b of the lever member 6 normally comes into contact with the notch 8a, and movement inward (in the direction of arrow a) along the elongated hole 5 is restricted. Further, this holding member 8 is provided with a groove 8b having approximately the same width as the lever member on the upper surface of the pressure bonding plate and continuous with the notch portion 8a. This groove 8b
are provided inside each holding member along the elongated hole 5. Therefore, the crimp plate 4 is
When the upper surface of the crimp plate 4 reaches the arcuate part 6c, the rising part 6b and the arcuate part 6c do not come into contact with the notch part 8a, but the rising part 6b fits into the elongated hole 5. Additionally, the arcuate portion 6c can move inwardly along the groove 8b. Therefore, by moving the shaft portions 6a of this lever member 6 inwardly in the direction of arrow a, the rotating shaft portions 6a at both ends thereof can be easily released from the bearing portion 7, and the crimping device can be removed from the document table 2. Can be easily removed. When attaching the crimping device to the document table 2, lift the crimping plate 4 along the rising portion 6b until the top surface of the crimping plate 4 reaches the arcuate portion 6c, and then move the arcuate portion 6c of the lever member 6 inward. While applying force to the groove 8b and moving the rotating shaft 6a inwardly within the range of the groove 8b, the rotating shaft 6a is moved to the bearing 7 and the force is relaxed. It is fitted into section 7.

Therefore, according to this embodiment, as is clear from FIG. 4a, in normal use, even if a force is applied to the lever member 6 in the direction of the arrow a, the notch 8a of the holding member 8 is Since the inner wall prevents inward elastic deformation of the lever member 6, its rotating shaft portion 6a
does not come off from the bearing portion 7 of the document table 2. That is, according to this embodiment, the pressure bonding device normally does not come off the document table 2. Also, attach the crimping device to the original platen 2.
When removing the document from the document table, the pressure bonding plate 4 is simply lifted upward and a slight inward force is applied to the lever member 6, so that the document can be easily attached to and detached from the document table. Further, as shown in FIG. 2, when supporting the crimp plate 4 in the open state, the holding member 8 holds the lever 6 that stands on its own with the notch 8a, thereby making the lever 6 more stable on its own. . Further, when closing the crimp plate, the lever 6 assists in returning along with the crimp plate 4. Note that 2c is an operation panel, and the operator operates the copying machine from this side of the copying machine main body.

In addition, in this embodiment, the lever member 6 and the pressure bonding plate 4
This simply means that the rising portion 6b penetrates and engages the elongated hole 5 of the pressure bonding plate 4. Therefore, the pressure bonding plate 4 is moved vertically with respect to the document placement surface 3 along this rising portion 6b. It is movable and has an arcuate portion 6c.
is not engaged with the crimp plate and is still in a free state. Therefore, even when a three-dimensional object such as a book must be placed as a manuscript, the entire pressure bonding plate can move up and down according to the thickness of the manuscript, making it easy to place the manuscript on the manuscript placement surface 3. , the entire document can be pressed with uniform force. Furthermore, by adjusting the position of the rising portion 6b and the bearing portion 7 of the lever member 6, or the height of the rising portion 6b, when the crimp plate 4 is opened as described above, the apex 6d of the rising portion can be used as a stopper. It can be set so that it stops at a certain predetermined opening angle.

As described above, the original pressing device of the present invention is provided with a holding member that is fixed to the engagement portion of the original pressing member with the supporting member and has a support member retraction portion for attaching and detaching the original pressing device. It can be attached and detached easily and will not come off accidentally.
